Nice catch. I can fix this for the next patch.

What do you think of making it 5 wide so all chests of the same type can fit on a row?

Nice montage, beautifully put together. Great job!

Congratulations! Obligatory: Cousin Okri would be proud.

Yeah, for some reason (programmer probably forgot) rapier's push attack doesn't have a programmed window where you can swap weapons, like pretty much every other attack does.

So either you have to wait 1.3 seconds (got the numbers from the game's code) for the whole action to finish, or you have to interrupt the action with something else, like a block or an attack (can be done after 0.35 seconds) or a pistol shot (0.4 seconds).

Alternately, we can hope that they add something like this to light_attack_bopp's allowed_chain_actions in the rapier's code, which would let you quickswap properly after the attack:

{
    sub_action = "default",
    start_time = 0.4,
    action = "action_wield",
    input = "action_wield"
}

(Psst, /u/fatshark_hedge, your beard is luscious and your jawline chiseled. Could you pass this on to someone in programming, please?)

It is done

  1. Not particularly, but worth exploring the various weapons, you might find a combo you like!
  2. First off you'll unlock trinket slots and Keep Inn features like the Forge. It also gives you bits of loot that you may like, or can use to craft new ones in the aforementioned Forge. Once you've unlocked that stuff, it just becomes a marker of the hours you've played.
  3. Nope.
  4. Mostly just increases the variety of maps. The map packs do come with new weapons to find as well. If you have friends who own the DLC though, you can play the maps for free if they host them and still have (if my dusty memory serves!) a chance at the DLC weapon(s) on the dice game at the end a successful DLC map run.

Sounds like this could have been the Steam maintenance window?

You could use something like WinDirStat to get an indication of things taking up chunks of space. It could be a partial download or something. Steam also allocates a bunch more space than the final installation size of a game, since it needs to unpack it.

For Xbox, this happened for myself and the 6 other people I got to play the game. It was only ever an issue after completing the tutorial. I just had them turn off their controller (popped up the controller disconnected menu), click B to go to the main menu, then jump back in. Fixed it every time.

I'll ask QA to do exactly that and try to reproduce it. Thanks for the heads up

Once you do the little tutorial as Kruber, you'll end up in the keep. There's a skull on the left side just near the door where you load in. Or just press your H key to open the character select screen.

There is also a a link to the character selection menu in the escape menu

I tried it before and it didn't work, but for some reason now it did. I didnt get to try and reinstall it, so I'm not sure what did it. The only thing different is that I plugged in an external hard drive that doesn't have a byte of data for the game. Maybe it's a storage issue..?

Reinstalling is only a thing on PC since Steam can be a little weird sometimes. We are still gathering information about this issue. It only happens for some people and only sometimes so it's really hard to track down

We've heard about this bug from time to time but haven't been able to reproduce it. Does it work if you exit to main menu and start the game again? (You don't have to do the tutorial again)

Steam is imploding - perhaps Dota related. They're on the case.

Hey! sorry again. This week was a bank holiday on the Thursday withy a lot of people taking a Squeeze Day on the Friday. It makes for getting develoepr updates on the Friday a bit tricker. We've not stopped with them, just been a couple of short weeks with other priorities on the "on days".

The update fixed a memory issue, a rare store crash and a few issues with the offline mode

I don't want to miss any shilling opportunities though. The saves are stored on their servers though. It's similar to something like the Division.

The patch is out now

Thank you for this, I've been hyped for this update so I'm glad I can check it out!

To reiterate; This only works for online play. Doing this workaround WILL REMOVE YOUR OFFLINE SAVE. We are working to resolve this without the need to delete the local save, so please hold tight if you wish to keep offline progression intact.
