When the crash occurs, a crash report should be displayed with an option to ‘Copy to Clipboard’. Please paste one of those reports in here, and we’ll check it out.

You can refund via Steam assuming your playtime hasn’t exceeded 2 hours.

Hello Vermintide Community

We wanted to provide some information for you, give a bit of insight on what is happening here at the studio.

We have launched the pre-release beta and just now an update (2.0.3) to the Winds of Magic. It has been a huge push from the team to get this pre-release beta out the door in one of our most stable build releases to date. There are still issues we are seeing and you are finding, we are working to fix these bugs asap, thank you for your patience!

One thing we have seen is an issue with enemies not staggering the way we intended, we did a big balance pass after and during the previous beta’s. What we shipped with was still heavy handed especially on lower difficulties making enemies feel a little more spongy or surefooted. We have pushed a fix for this in our first patch (2.0.3), so hopefully you can feel the difference.

We wanted to get some changes in which we hope bring a bit more of that classic weapon feel to the difficulty settings you're accustomed to prior to patch 2.0. Putting some weight behind your strikes is an important part of the combat systems in Vermintide 2, and we can appreciate that a few of the adjustments in the 2.0 patch were removing a big part of that.

We are keeping all your thoughts and feedback close to heart, and we genuinely appreciate you all taking your time to bring those thoughts to us.

Balance Adjustments
  • TempHP on Cleave: Increased healing per enemy hit to 0.75 from 0.5. First enemy hit now heals you for 50% of the initial value, instead of not at all.
  • Changed stagger resistance multipliers per difficulty from:
    • Recruit: 1.0
    • Veteran: 1.7
    • Champion: 2.75
