The menus didn't scale with UI at all, the higher the resolution, the smaller they got. We heard a lot of people feedback on higher resolutions that they wanted it to scale appropriately. This patch simply corrects that incorrect behaviour of there being no scaling.

BTW if you got problems like that you should post them in the bug section of this this board.
for things like this, a support ticket and partnered log would be ideal, since they're so hard to reproduce a log is pretty much essential in helping us pin it down.

I'll speak to our UI guy, but it's not industry normal to have options to resize menus and such. HUD sometimes (but rarely truth be told), but menus, overlays or such - pretty much not a thing. Look at some industry leaders and they scale UI and HUD almost entirely on resolution, like we do today in 1.5. We'll be offering additional scaling on the slide... Read more

We’re working on some improved scaling options right now.

If t’s not too much hassle, could you pop a screenshot over and highlight the parts you don’t like? I can then pass this on to our UI Programmer. :)

Firstly, please report any issues in the 'Bug Reports' discussion. I monitor this throughout the day: https://steamcommunity.com/app/552500/discussions/8/

We also can't do much without a crash report, I'm afraid.

We’re looking in to this (we suspect a Steam issue), but it can usually be addressed quite easily by either:

Restarting Steam
Restarting your PC
Clearing Steam’s download cache
Changing Steam’s download region

This will be addressed in our next patch.

Hi all! Firstly, please report any issues in the 'Bug Reports' discussion. I monitor this throughout the day: https://steamcommunity.com/app/552500/discussions/8/

Kash, your GPU is crashing. Please ensure none of your components are overheating and perform a clean re-installation of your GPU drivers: https://en.kundo.se/org/fatshark/d/how-to-perform-a-clean-re-installation-of-your-nvi/

HexxyThing and N1TroX, looks like you were hit by the back end hiccup last night. This should no longer be a problem.

In version 1.5, we introduced additional security checks in Vermintide 2. It will report an `SSL_CONNECT_ERROR` if Vermintide 2 can't securely connect to our back end.

Perhaps you're on business WiFi or a university campus which filters certain websites, or your parents have installed 'web nanny' software that monitors what kind of network traffic you're receiving, and blocking based on certain criteria.

What those filters need to do is look at your traffic. The only way to do that, when you're using secure https connections, is to either compromise the hardware router you're using, or install 'snooping' software on your machine.

In order to access the Vermintide 2 service you will need to make adjustments to these or request that administrators make adjustments to these to ignore the Vermintide 2 service. Regrettably, we cannot offer much advice on specifics since there are simply too many variables involved that can 'compromise' a network, so we recomme... Read more
Heroes!

Patch 1.5 went live yesterday and today we're plugging some holes.

22 Feb - Hotfix - 1.5.0.4
  • HUD scale can now be decreased down to 50% of the actual size (down from 70%).
  • All HUD-components are now effected by the HUD scaling.
  • Fixed an issue where players could select hero skins for salvage.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when a Chaos Spawn despawned (was killed in Event mode) while grabbing a player
  • Fixed Twitch mode HUD not appearing for clients

20 Feb - Hotfix - 1.5.0.3
  • Kerillian's Glaive - moved the block input up in priority plus added a short block cancel-window at the start of each light sweep which should enable players to cancel out reliably. This should stop cases where the glaive did a light attack instead of blocking, in the case where block input is held.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause a crash if g...
