Player progression is essential. You can't give a player everything at once, because it will overwhelm and make the game very difficult for them and they will just leave it either immediately or almost immediately. This has been tested by us many times in different ways. When applied to our game, later vehicles are almost always more difficult to learn and play tactically, in the controls and with its capabilities. Progression provides opportunities for gradual learning and engaging the players. Without it, the game will lose players right from the start.

Its not possible for the aircraft to mount 6 missiles that don't involve MICA. As we have already said, its too advanced for the game currently and wont be coming right now.

Think on this argument for a second. How it's different than with custom avatars? What would stop you from taking same custom avatar and pretend you are someone else?

Impersonating is forbidden both in game and on forum, so it's not a case.

Guys, please note this is the early build dev server.


Initially both Tornados were already in the process of being moved to Z list as placeholders for Stage 2 whilst the details could be fully worked out.


Neither of them have a fully tuned radar (Z or Stage 2) and both are planned to be upgraded to Stage 2.


Please understand this is WIP.

Its radar will be the RDY and as always, all new vehicles typically have placeholder radars on dev.

MICA = / = 530D.


530D cannot 1:1 fit where MICA is present. There is no evidence of that ever being any possible loadout on a Mirage. Whereas we know quite clear 2 x 530D is.

Evidence has already been posted that the aircrafts radar was capable in the thread some pages back.


You are welcome to submit any materials via reports if you believe it cannot.

It physically cannot mount 4 x 530Ds. There is no evidence of this being a possible loadout on the 5F.

The new location for naval battles called “Franz Josef Land” will become one of the northernmost locations in War Thunder. Here, players will witness the harsh lifeless expanses of plateau-like islands covered with basalt and permafrost glaciers. But even these uninhabitable islands have been mastered by man. Here you can find two polar stations, military bases, as well as a few abandoned villages.


In the Dominance mode for this location, we plan to add fortifications with a different set of weapons that provide fire support for bases. Destruction of such fortifications will grant players additional points. We want to make naval battles more varied and dynamic, and we're interested in your opinion of the new gameplay option. We look forward to your feedback as soon as the update is released!

The new location “Iberian Castle” takes players to a tourist town on the eastern shores of the Balearic Sea. The main attraction of the town is the ruins of an ancient sea castle. Here, amongst the remains of castle walls and ruins of ancient buildings players will find the first zone of control over the location. The middle capture point is located right in the center of the town, in the labyrinth of crooked streets with arches and small squares. At the edge of the town, where the orchards begin, there is a third capture point surrounded by several buildings that can hide a small group of defending armored vehicles.
