There are precious few aircraft designers that started their career by making biplanes and finished it making supersonic jets… but there are even fewer engineers that got their foot in the door by designing naval biplanes and made it to supersonic carrier-based fighter jets. Spoiler: there’s only one such engineer, and his name was Leroy Grumman.

Changes to the attack UAV spawn:

The number of attack UAV spawn points has been reduced from two to one.


The spawn point is now positioned about 10 km distant from the battle area at 4 km height.

This balancing change allows players to counter the attack UAVs easier, without affecting a drone’s efficiency.


Attack UAVs feature a controversial set of characteristics that make balancing them difficult. On the one hand, powerful, long-range weapons and excellent optics. On the other hand, they are inferior in flight characteristics to the top-tier jet aircraft. A manned aircraft can evade anti-aircraft fire due to its flight capabilities, which the attack drone lacks. Therefore, the only way for the UAV to be effective is to stay out of range of fire or out of range of detection, and the initial spawn points were set considering these. Fixed an error that caused the vehicle in the leftmost garage slot to hover in the air when switching presets or vehicles in the Anniversary hangar.

Each week* a panel of official judges, chosen from the team, will vote on the top 5 Screenshots submitted each week and the winners will receive

As mentioned before the start of the event, these vehciles won't return for the anniversary and are currently not planned to return at all at any point in the foreseeable future.


The Tiger 10.5 never existed outside of paper, and would not have technically been possible, taking into account the sizes of the gun, breach and turret. The Panther II was an amalgamation of multiple different late war German projects that were never fully intended to be unified into a single vehcile. This was done to create the best possible Panther in game to balance, what was at the time, the German top tier.


Along with the Flakpanzer 341, they were hidden as they never existed in reality, and when they were removed, the German tree had very much moved on from the days where they were critical for top tier. As well as the fact replacements in the tree where already present, with top teir also moving along.

If the battle was before the offical start of the event, then it would not count towards it. As mentioned in the news, SB counts for the event. Please ensure you try a matchmade game and let us know the outcome.

The event vehicle category typically refers to the major events of marathons / quests and building events. Not the Birthday / Anniversary or VE day events, which can feature unique or returning vehicles.
