Welcome to the Wayfinder Echoes Update!
What is The Echoes Update? When online games such as Wayfinder reach the end of their service, they tend to disappear forever. This is the unfortunate reality when games lose funding, can't cover the costs of servers or staff, and face countless other challenges.

Having all played titles that have gone through this cycle, we wanted to take a different approach. We cherish the world our team has created and the characters we've introduced to our players, and we don't want them to be lost in the Gloom. Our goal is to leave players with a product they can enjoy indefinitely.

This shift enables the game to exist perpetually. Players can download it to play solo or enjoy co-op gameplay with up to two friends.

We heard your feedback that previously you didn't want to join Discord for patch notes. Since then we've been posting them to Steam and communicating here more.

This patch is slightly different, the reason they're a post tomorrow is due to the fact that tomorrow's Steam post will be marked as a "Major Update" allowing more visibility and we can only utilize that during specific windows.

After reviewing your DXDIAG you do not meet the minimum requirements for CPU or GPU. So you may be able to run the game but the performance and experience will not be ideal.

Will more playable characters be added?

Yeah none of that is true.

What we said is that we'll be updating the game with at least one more character before 1.0 release as well as other systems and new content.

If we get to 1.0 and the game has an audience, and we're able to support it in a way that makes financial sense we would.

Yeah unfortunately that card is under spec. We didn’t change our requirements for echoes but we did change the way that textures are streamed to reduce hitches so that’s why it performance differently.

Is there a way to zoom in on steam deck? I have searched all the options and google and have not found anything. the default zoom is super far away and I cant change it with controller, steam deck. please let me know if this will be fixed!
You can press in the left stick and TAP down and up on the right stick.

This has been identified as a permissions error. The game is not able to write to your user directory. I would suggest 1. Repairing permissions and/or 2. Set the game to run as admin automatically.
