As some captains have pointed out the Sims torpedoes have a longer range but you do you seem to have the captain skill "torpedo acceleration" selected. The funny thing about the Sims torpedoes are they are so slow but the detectability and the short reload make them great for area denial. The Sims is a fun boat and has a lot going for it.

When looking at torpedoes to use the torpedo acceleration captain skill, I look for ships that have long range torpedoes i.e. Shimakaze and even the Gearing. The trade off in range for the speed for the Sims is not great enough because you really want to be putting out a large volume of "sea mines" at a consistent pace. The torpedoes will not do much alpha damage but you can get decent floods and making your enemies move for your teammates is immeasurable.

In order to estimate the impact of aircraft carriers' spotting and scouting capabilities in battles, we will hold a closed test session with special weather settings on the map "North".

Overall, four weather scenarios will be tested:

Aircraft can't detect ships with AA turned off. If AA is turned on, aircraft can detect ships as long as they are within firing range of their anti aircraft guns.

When threads get merged, the contents are fitted in regarding to timestamps.

Typically this is the action moderation will take:

Locking: When a thread derails, becomes nonconstructive, or begins to break forum rules or looks like it is going that way, but there is useful information within it.

"Deleting" (Hiding): We never delete a thread unless the OP asks us to, threads can be hidden and only seen my moderators. This is only done if the initial thread is in direct breaking of the forum rules.

Merging: Only done to prevent multiple threads on the same topics.

How this coupon works is you will receive double the doubloon value back in addition to your item purchased.

For example; Say you bought amazing Ship Y that has a doubloon value of X, upon purchasing the ship, you would receive:

Ship + 2x X Doubloons.

While there is historical reasons to suggest this change, that would greatly complicate mechanics without much value being added.

Considering there are already considerable variations as to the chance to cause a flood we feel this mechanic itself is in a good place.

As stated there only difference between the rental versons and the tech tree version is the fact that Rentals cannot mount camouflage and are not permanent.

We're consistently working on port optimization, however unfortunately there is not a one fix resolves all solution. Over the last few patches we have breadcrumbed out several building brick fixes leading to a reduction in port freezing.

Freezing/Delays occur when the client needs to make a request from the server (such as requesting how many flags/camos a player has) between switching tabs. Elements such as dynamic ports and additional ports do not require server pulls so they will not have an impact on this freezing issue.

The development staff are well aware with player frustrations on this matter and are putting considerable resources into improving the port experience.

Some great tips in here! Of what I've played of them the RU BBs seem to play best between 10-15kms in terms of dispersion. They can definitely hit hard but with the limited DCPs mitigating fire/flood damage can be somewhat a mini-game of its own. We hope you're enjoying the early access ships and getting ready for the full line release in 8.4
