It is a real sale. https://www.scotsman.com/news/environment/first-world-war-scapa-flow-battleships-put-up-for-sale-on-ebay-1-4948943?fbclid=IwAR0UpSSeR7gzr8VyMdgf00e2o8zIC0p2iTYR34TxCoUAMjn6FkWURweTnQs

Owning them would entitle you to dive be as close as 1 foot from the ships, or even enter and retrieve certain approved found items.

What ships would you want to dive and inspect if they still intact and close to the surface?

The Minekaze has base concealment with Camo of 6km. 2.5km Range by air. Those can be dropped even further if you get the concealment expert captains skill.

As for avoiding planes, I suggest seeing if a AA cruiser is near and keep close where you can. Early avoidance can be key in getting those early spots in.

Smoke can be a key aid in avoiding rocket attacks and can at times, allow you to break contact, and re-engage the enemy.

What DD's are folks taking out, low, mid, and high tier right now? What are your favorites?

Evening @grorg.

I love the DD line and as a DD Main, they are the most fun, and most versatile class, IMO.

They can support, with a well-timed smokescreen providing an isolated BB or CA with needed cover. They can keep BB's from rushing a flank, with just the fear of your torpedos. You can fill the role of both the Lone Wolf Hunter or Bird Dog Spotter. IMO, the key to getting the most out of any DD is to learn it inside and out. To figure out what it can and can not do.

While the Wiki page, videos, and streams can all provide info on this tier 5 IJN ship, your best way to learn is to take it out CO-OP. This will give you a chance of how to best use the Minekazes concealment, one of her best tools, and get the feel for the ships, speed, maneuverability, firepower, Mods, and lack of armor.

In any case, really hope you enjoy your Minekaze and DD Class as a whole. Please keep us up to date on as you progress! All the best!

To be clear lead planes can still be killed from hitting shell explosions on approach if they do not avoid them, that mechanic remains intact. This change affects planes who avoided flak and in some situations because of randomly assigned damage could survive a full run without a loss. AA will target the last plane and assign damage to just that one to ensure a higher chance of a kill.

HAHAHAHA @CAPTMUDDXX, apologies. This thread necro'd a few hours ago.
So did you end up getting the Yubari? If not what did you get?

Regardless of ship class, BREAK CONTACT if at all possible. Getting out of the firing line is crucial.

Once clear of the cauldron, you can reassess the situation and find the best way to get back into the battle.

DD: Likely reposition and find a differnt angle of attack.

CA: Depending on the type of ship, perhaps falling back to support Cap or assist other ships unsupported.

BB: Taking the time to heal up as much as you can. Then choose your point of contact, or if spotted, seek to find an advantageous position.

For me, some of my fav matches had this situation and I had to find a way back to influence the match.

One of the most important questions @warpath_33 is how much do you play and enjoy low tier and tier 4 play? If this is one of your "Go-to" tiers on a regularly scheduled basis, then I the Yubari would be a perfect addition to your port. But if you rarely play at tier, it may end being a "port queen." Better to follow the advice of many here on this thread and keep saving for a ship that better suits your play style, and needs.

What ship would you love to pick up if the Yubari is not the next on your shopping list?

Looking at the internal stats, the Montana doesn't seem to be underperforming at all. It's a good all around ship that can deliver devastating broadside with decent angles on the rear turrets. I personally find it a lot of fun to play, but what about the ship isn't working for you?

We are unable to accommodate previous recruiting as this is a new program. We do however recognize that some of you did recruiting with the new system launched on June 4th so any eligible recruit from that time forward will make you eligible for these new rewards.

Please note that the information in the Development Blog is preliminary.

The French arc will begin with the release of the 0.8.6 update featuring the early access to French destroyers. The port of Marseille is decorated to celebrate the event.

There will be 4 directives, completing which you can earn containers. From them you can get combat missions for early access to French destroyers of tiers V - VIII.

A new temporary resource - 'Republic' tokens is also added. You can get it for different activities in game and exchange in the Armory for in-game goodies. Permanent camouflages, "French Navy" are available for French destroyers, giving the standard bonuses of permanent camouflages depending on the tier of the ship.

New camouflage added, with the following bonuses:

-3% to detectability range.

+4% to maximum dispersion of shells f...

Hey Captains,

The Fiji is a great ship with a lot of strong qualities. You have smoke, hydro, torpedoes and the British AP. The Fiji is ship that has a lot of utility and that is key to me for a ship to want me to play it.

Positives:

RN AP.

Torpedoes that have decent range for the tier and are not just "panic torps".

Smoke of course and at that tier when the amount of radar is limited can be a game-changer.

Hydro to protect yourself in your smoke or to check around islands.

Negatives:

RN CL armor.

Can struggle dealing damage to angled BBs.

No radar like the Belfast or Atlanta.

Overall the Fiji is a great ship and should be in your port to take out once in awhile.

Ahoy Fleet!

The odd-numbered tier CVs (Bogue, Essex, Zuiho, Taiho) will eventually return to the game.

The Dev Blogs are a good source of information for getting a sneak peek into up and coming announcements.
