You're referring instead to "planes shot down"?

It's possible the Hakuryu used their heal extremely effectively as your picture shows you having nearly 25,000 damage dealt to planes (which would kill 10 Planes normally). It's more likely that your AA did damage, but other ship AA finished the kill on several planes. As I said before, the Hakuryu likely lost 4-6 planes if it attacked 4 times. It could have been more if part of your AA damage was from Flak puffs that can see retreating planes more likely to be shot down as well.

2 Torpedoes did not cause 60k damage. That would have had to been 8 Torpedoes delivered over 4 strikes. That would have been around 1-1.5 minutes of time with the Tier 8 Battleship interacting with that Tier 10 squadron.

No single attack can deal 60k damage, though theoretically you might be able to set multiple fires that get to burn full duration? So maybe in that sense.

The enemy CV was a Hakuryu which means having a 12 plane Torpedo Squadron. They will do about 7.5k per torpedo, so it's likely that the enemy CV got 4 drops off and landed 8 torpedoes in that time.

Typically, a Hakuryu would expect to "Use 2, Lose 2" which means they would expect to lose 2 planes on the way to each attack while allowing 2 planes to drop their ordinance and head back to the CV. In that way, you would expect 3 attacks.

However, Torpedo Bombers do have a Heal consumable which can save planes on one of the attacks and the lower tier of the target ship would likely result in helping make that fourth attack possible. You can see that the final drop is with only the 2 remaining planes. That means it's likely that 8 planes attacked and ~4-6 planes wer...

There is a physical separation of continents and time zones. This does affect the ease of acquiring information, though the information I received did correctly identify how our system works. When deployed, the system offers a discount until a Perma-Visual is purchased from the Exterior tab. A question was asked, an answer provided, and the answer continues to be correct.

Currently our game does not offer discounts. They do not exist as an option. When Update 0.11.6, discounts will appear at that point though not every ship will have one. It is ok if not every ship has a discount, because there are no ships in the game that have one now. There is no "loss" in that. There is a "gain" of discounts for perma-visuals on ships that do not currently have any Permacamo affiliated with them.

I recognize the frustration of expecting something but getting less than what you expected, however it's worth remembering than getting something is still getting...

Outlook not so good. Creating a process to back-check acquisition history would likely be a non-small thing that would require testing. As the PTS is currently evaluating our Conversion to make sure it's working, this looks like it'll be here to stay.

The discount might not be available on ships converting with a Permacamo, but it should exist through Event camo acquisition after the conversion.

Greetings Captains,

Welcome to this week’s edition of the New Player Captain's Log! For those of you who aren't sure what this is or what it might do, feel free to check out the introductory post here.

Eagle-eyed readers of this blog might also notice that last week, I introduced something brand new to the fold: Questions! With each topic I discuss, I also added a question at the end to see how y’all feel about things in comparison to how I feel. I just thought it would be an interesting way to get some discussion going!

I also wanted to point out that due to me volunteering in-person at a popular speedrunning event, I did not get to play as much as I would have liked to. Nonetheless, I played somewhat and wanted to shared the experiences that I had.

Without further ado, let’s proceed with Week 22!

Accomplishments
Here’s a list of personal milestones that I hit during the week:

I think the largest source of Credit Drain I've read was that you might be trying to run a full set of Signal Flags in every match. That can absolutely stall your Credit earning, or just drain it all over time (as likely happened to you).

In general, save Combat Signals for Clan Battles or Ranked. Even in Ranked, just keeping to a Det Flag is fine. For Randoms you can absolutely go without Combat Signals. If you're worried about Detonations, there's a Slot 1 Upgrade which reduces an already low chance by another 70%.

This IS a game. It can be really hard to keep that at the front of your mind when you get super invested into WoWs and live the "must perform every game!" lifestyle... but real life does come first. Take a mental step back and just enjoy the ability to play the game. Augmenting your speed by 5% and Fire Chance by 1% is not the difference between life and death. Full Signal games should be for tryhard stuff with f...

20million Potential can be done in 10-40 games. 20 solo captures could be as little as 10, but potentially hundreds depending on Class preference and situation.

I understand the frustration, but being in the middle-man position I'm stuck with understanding how hard it is to provide the full-and-complete answers players want while things are still in flux. Systems in development are subject to change, especially when actively being designed and implemented.

-

I previously asked if earning a Camo from an Event would remove the reduced cost to purchase a Perma-Visual. I was given the answer the the Perma-Visual discount lasts until a Perma-Visual is purchased in the Exterior tab. This is true, as that is how the system is designed to function. That is why I quoted my prior post, because the description I was initially given was given correctly and that was worth highlighting.

Having had a chance to try the system on the PTS, I confirmed the issue of ships I had not purchased a Permacamo for not having a discount available. This was confirmed by players. I inquired and learned that the Conve...

Not a typo. Potential Damage isn't reliable in Co-Op as Bots may or may not interact with you, but it's very consistent in Randoms at .5 to 2 million per game depending on ship type.

There are some who have techniques they use in Co-Op to get shot at and rack up ~2 million Potential per match. I'd assume it's using a fast cruiser and opening fire early to get spotted before other ships (to focus fire on your ship).
