Yeah, I got that part. I was just curious why the DMCA wasn't issued years ago if it was a violation of the EULA. They've known about MM and that it was making money for years. It's not like MM was hiding that fact. From what I'm gathering, it appears TFP changed the EULA so that it is now a violation. So, they didn't issue a DMCA before because it wasn't a violation then? I don't know. Glad I'm not affected by it.

Seems TFP never shut down MM because they didn't want this kind of stuff to happen. As long as everyone got along, it appears TFP was willing to let it slide. However, Zyn committed a crime (Getting smart on Twitter) while committing a felony (Profiting from someone elses work), and is eating sh*t because of it.

ETA - Not a dev, gotta get that removed lol.

If any of y'all find reliable steps to FORCE this to happen, hit me or the forums up lol. I've spent hours trying to trigger it.

There have been some instances here and there I've been hearing about, so you're not alone for sure.

However making sure you've got bug reports with logs included will help us out immensely in fixing it for you :)

Hello! Just checking in cause i have a group of 15 friends ready to start on a dedicated server as soon as A20 is playable

If we start today on A20, and we want to keep that game long term, it will all work as long as we're ok with dealing with some "interesting" bugs?

Main concern is the game simply not letting us run the save anymore. Cause if something bugs out we can decide as a group if its bothersome enough to restart but if the game simply won't let us then its a bummer and some people will feel like dropping out

We were all hyped up on starting the game today and keeping it running for as long as we can

You can honestly do whatever you like, my dude! However, you have been warned that saves can break, and things can happen :) See you in Navezgane x

From what I understand the version of Alpha 20 that is dropping tomorrow requires you to opt into an optional experimental build of the game. Your currently existing save files wont be useable, but at the same time you can also not get the experimental build of alpha 20 and keep playing your existing save.

Following this up, I want to know if it's worth starting an experimental alpha 20 save tomorrow and if that save will persist into the actual alpha 20 release (at a later date)

While opted into experimental, we recommend wiping your saves and clearing out old game data in between builds. Any code can change in between experimental builds and the results can be... interesting.

Edit: As an exp. changes to a stable build - the build number should not change therefore you could continue that game.

We recommend wiping your saves every time there's an update in the early Alpha days.

Monday is not confirmed, just to clear things up.

Saw the first clip with the dog. Settled in for the ride. This is amazing.

You simply misunderstand the logic. It’s like alcohol. Alcohol actually constricts the blood vessels but you FEEL warmer. Likewise yucca smoothies actually completely numb your nerves so you don’t FEEL as cold. Working as intended.

Can confirm.

Gore blocks. Having the zombies fill in your spike pits and start building a ramp of bones up the wall towards you was fantastic. Honestly the game hasn't been the same since for me.

I miss the post-horde cleanup so much. After several game hours of our base getting wrecked, running out of ammo and falling into stainless steel log spikes, it was so calming and fulfilling to go through and loot/harvest every single corpse among the damage.

By extension, filling up chests with all kinds of random sh*t from those corpses, then dragging it all inside and sorting it out into your storage, meticulously combining all your guns and parts in the hunt for that perfect 600 quality weapon or minibike.

Also death messages for minibikes.

That’s kind of you to consider based on a reddit rant lol. But yeah, i don’t know anyone who makes them, they don’t drop often in ammo containers (which kinda makes sense, as neither does AP ammo). Apart from that, with a min-max’d stealth archery build, there’s nothing that steel arrows can accomplish that iron arrows can’t do, at a fraction of the cost. So far, with a Lvl 6 fully modded compound bow, i’m able to 1 shot any sleeper with a sneak attack headshot with iron arrows. Including irradiated cops, bikers, soldiers, etc. Maybe steel arrows are intended to fulfill a more “guns blazing” (arrows blazing?) approach, what with their armor penetration. But if that’s the case they are too expensive to craft, even in bulk, when compared to firearm ammunition. 160 plastic will get you 100 arrows, and they shatter on impact too often to justify the cost, in my personal opinion.

again, thanks

It's amazing how well feedback is received when it is done respectfully and makes valid points :D I actually love it when people come to me and say "Hey, take a look at this maybe?"
What seems reasonable at the time of creation doesn't always turn out to be the best, even after testing, so it's important that GOOD feedback reaches us too.

yeah exactly

Gonna check this out for y'all. Whether its material cost or damage tweaks, if no ones using steel for these reasons it should be looked at.

Unity is pretty damn easy to port to any console. If they truly have the rights 100% then it's TFP's decision to not update (for whatever reason).

I think they are keeping silent because they just simply don't want to maintain 3 other versions of the game.

People are already upset at the amount of time A20 is taking, now imagine adding like 2x the work for the same result, it would be pretty bad...

Sure, an Alpha 20 port *could* be made in theory (It's not going to be, but this is theoretical), but what happens if/when Alpha 21 comes out? The game is not able to be updated yet again, and console players are once again stuck behind PC players.

You see that doggo biting your ass? That was one of my suggestions when playtesting this POI, and has been an endless source of amusement watching you all play with him.

You're welcome :D
