Continuing a save between multiple experimental versions always carries with it the possibility for issues to arise. Verify the server files and create a fresh save and verify if the issues persist.

On your experience. You know how to use the spear and the club. You are not in that stage where trying to kill one zombie will likely get you killed as you learn. You know how to use the bow. You are not taking 10 shots to even hit the deer and then having to chase it for miles after it runs from you often into a zombie or worse direwolf or bear which will kill you before you are able to kill it. If you spend too much time trying to stay alive to get to the trader or trying to get that deer you will not have time...

The game self balances to account for this; If someone never loots and only crafts, they'll get difficulty tailored to their choices. This self-balancing is why it can actually detrimental to double the day length or double/triple exp gain.

For double day length, if hordes are enabled, then you will have spent twice as much time accruing exp and such as you would have normally- You'll end up gaining around twice as much gamestage as you would have normally, so you'll end up with a horde tailored to that raised game stage. Yes, it gives more time to prepare- But where most screw up is in not realizing they need to leverage that time properly and prepare for something much more difficult than they realized.

Alpha 19 is not compatible with A18 saves or A18 maps. For best results remove all saved data from A18 and avoid using the same exact seed name for your A19 map that you used for A18. If your trader is MIA or you have garbled biomes it means you are playing on an old map.

How to Clean out A18 data:

  • Start the game from your library
  • Select show game launcher
  • Click in the tools tab
  • Click on clean game files and check all circles
  • Click clean

Obviously don't do this if you want to play pre-A19 saves or worlds later. Thanks to JOST AMMAN for the suggestion to post this.

To be frank, OP's stance is more likely to result in death having heavy penalties again than it is to have TFP change the new debuffs- Because OP's stance is even more fuel onto the "XYZ dont matter because i can just die and respawn with no punishment" fire.

Also...Not 'intuitively added'? Really? What would you consider intuitive for getting injured when you're injured? Take a long fall and sprain or break your leg. Get smacked by a blade trap and get a laceration. Get bashed over the head by a zombie and get a concussion...Seems intuitive and realistic to me.

Moreover, 1-2 hours of debuff is childs play and incredibly lenient compared to reality- It takes MONTHS to heal most of the way (80-90%) from a broken bone in real life; And technically years before that bone is back to 100%. It takes weeks just for a scratch on your body to heal, let alone giant gouges in your flesh.

Haven't actually seen any major difference so far, this would be polished A18 with minor changes and additional weapons that I could already have via mods. The one thing I wanna see here is RWG. In my case it can and will make huge difference. If terrain stamps are the same as A18 then I would be pretty dissapointed.
I have to say, you haven't been paying much attention to the dev notes if that's all you think it is.

Might take a minute to actually read through the Patch Notes.
