PLATFORM: PS4 Slim
GAME VERSION: 1.0.4

Hello,

My Assassin's Creed Valhalla game continuously crashes about every 5 minutes on PS4. I didn't have this many crashes until the latest patch. After a lot of troubleshooting, I think I have narrowed the problem down to Cloud Saves. 

I have done every method of the troubleshooting that was recommended that I could think of, including:

  • Power Cycles
  • Firmware and software updates
  • Deleting save files on local and external discs
  • Unplugging External drive and moving game and saves to Local PS4 drive
  • Uninstalling the game and reinstalling it
  • Booting in Safe Mode to Rebuild Database
  • Re-Initializing my PS4


Also, please take no offense, but I've dealt with many customer support reps on various games, and I'd just like your techs to understand that I am not computer or console illiterate. I very much know my way around both, and how to do troubleshooting. So please do not have me do all of the troubleshooting tips again, and please don't make me repeat myself over and over to different representatives. I understand that certain bugs are difficult to recreate, and that they take time to solve.

My only question here is: Is there a way to disable Ubisoft Cloud saves on Playstation 4? And if so, how can I do that?

I'm hoping for a workaround until you guys can get a patch out. I do love the game, it's beautiful. I just want to play it.

Please let me know, as I am unable to play the game I spent over $150 dollars on.

Hey all,

I apologise this thread never got a reply from us previously, sometimes some get missed but we try to reply to all of them.

Please try the troubleshooting found here, and I would also suggest to have the game installed on the main PS4 HDD rather than an external drive, and also disconnecting any external drives if you have one connected whilst playing.

Just checking on this, no worries if you haven't played since posting this just letting you know we haven't forgotten about this. Have you continued to experience crashes since if you have had a chance to play?
