So I'm the only one with weird issue with AC Valhalla? Connect overlay doesn't work for that game specifically...FC6,Breakpoint,Legion all working fine but not Valhalla. Even then I'm pressing Ubisoft Connect in the main menu doesn't do the trick, overly not showing up. I don't know what to do now.

Hello @seekr thank you for reaching out to us about this overlay issue.

When did you first notice this affected the game? Was it after a certain update, or has this problem lasted for you throughout your play of the game?

How do you have your controls set up in the menu, are you using PC, a controller, or the Hybrid mode for both? Have you tried switching between these modes, to see if they are all affected, and unable to bring up the overlay?

The second thing I would like you to check is to verify the game's files, in case some installation file or supporting software is preventing you from accessing the Connect overlay. Here are some instructions on how to do this > https://www.ubisoft.com/help?article=000060529

Please note, verifying game files can take several minutes to complete fully for larger games like this one.

@seekr Thanks for the update.

I have tested and I can confirm that the overlay still works in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Please try verifying your game files as suggested previously if you haven't already done then try again. However if that does not work then I would recommend uninstalling then reinstalling Ubisoft Connect.

If you do reinstall Ubisoft Connect then please follow the steps in the support article to backup your save files first.

@oppaipie @carshald I'm sorry to hear that you are still experiencing issues with the overlay in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Does the error message that you mentioned only appear when you attempt to open the overlay? Could you also provide a screenshot of the error message please.

Hey @Carshald, thanks for your input there and sorry to hear you're having this issue too.

Do you possibly happen to be using GeForce Experience and have in-game overlay enabled? If so, for testing purposes, could you try temporarily disabling it to see if problem continues to persist?

Keep us updated!

@ssant0ryu @Spang1es Hey! Can we ask that you both please try the following:

Goto the "Ubisoft Game Launcher" Folder, rename "overlay64.dll" to "overlay64_old.dll" and then rename the "overlay.dll" to "overlay64.dll"

Once done try to launch the game/Ubisoft Connect again and see if it works.

If not please reinstall Ubisoft Connect once more and get back in touch here.

Thank you.

Hey @RootMaster1 - appreciate your detailed input and sorry to hear you're having this issue as well.

Following recent update, it appears that our team is having difficulties with reproducing the issue on our side, therefore is there any chance either of you could provide us with your launcher_log file? To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the following link to access your cases list (make sure to login to your account beforehand)
  2. Once there, you will find ticket that was recently created. Open it
  3. Once opened, you will see 'Attach' option. Click on it and when ready, upload your Ubisoft Client's logs to the case

When that's done, update the ticket and we will make sure to forward it over to our development team accordingly.

Should you have any questions, let us know!
