Hey Anno Community,

As we are getting ready to reveal our 2020 plans for Anno 1800 next month, we want to inform you about some changes in the Anno development team. At the end of last year, we said goodbye to two long-time veterans of the franchise, Burkhard Ratheiser and Dirk Riegert. While we are sad to see them leave Anno, we can appreciate that working on the same gaming series for over 15 years is a long time and that the huge success of Anno 1800 makes this the perfect time to hand the scepter over to our new leadership. Rest assured that both are staying with Ubisoft Mainz, exploring new ideas for future projects!

Burkhard is not only one of the co-founders of our studio here in Mainz but has been instrumental in Anno’s transition to full 3D as the Lead Programmer of our game engine during the development of 1701. Following that, he worked on Anno 1404 and 2070 as the Head of Graphics and R&D, before moving into game production with Anno 2205. Over the ...

Thanks for your feedback, but we are not currently planning to add additional supported languages to Anno 1800. We always evaluate which languages to support on a case-by-case basis for every game, to see where a localization makes the most sense. Unfortunately, the Hungarian gaming market is fairly small, making it more difficult to justify doing so.

Best,
Marcel

Just as an update to this: It should be sufficient to simply disable the Uplay Overlay (see here https://i.imgur.com/cvLjXhe.jpg

) as a temporary workaround for Windows 7 users. No offline mode required.

Be aware that disables the overlay for all games for the time being.

We'll let you know as soon as we have news about a fix.

(and recommend enabling the overlay as soon as it's fixed)

Will make a bug report.

Thanks

Hello Nonnie-P,

Welcome to the forums! There is no official manual available for Anno 1800. The Wiki is a great written resource, as well as YouTube for walkthrough videos like twiFight mentioned.

Welcome to the community! Feel free to ask any specific questions that you may come across as well.

After installing Uplay on the other PC, you can copy the whole installation folder of the game to that PC.
If you then open your games library and select Anno 1800, there's an option to locate an installed game:

Uplay will then check the game's files to make sure they're complete (if not, the missing/broken files will need to be redownloaded) and if all is good, you can start the game.
