Right now we are not aware of any issues with the multiplayer functionality in general - that was fixed on Wednesday.

However, could you please have a look and confirm if your status in Ubisoft Connect is set to "online" or "invisible"?

Bluebyte doesn't exist anymore. Ubisoft only uses city names now. What is now called Ubisoft Mainz used to be the part of bluebyte doing anno (related Design). Not sure if Düsseldorf always worked on settlers though.

Ubisoft Düsseldorf ist the original BlueByte studios, they have worked on all previous The Settlers titles.

While we, Ubisoft Mainz, have worked on all Anno titles since Anno 1701

Nothing changed except the names :) A few years ago, we changed our studio names to Ubisoft Düsseldorf (previously Ubisoft Blue Byte, creators of Settlers) and Ubisoft Mainz (previously Blue Byte Studio Mainz/ Related Designs, developers of the recent Anno games).

Hope that helps :)

No need to say sorry, just a thank you from us all for building it the way it was build. Yeah, such cities existed in former Anno´s, and with Crown Falls we got a new toy, but Bright Sands really stuck to me, and I am fairly certain most who have played the campaign.

I remember playing the game for the first time, looking at Bright Sands and going like..."DAMN I want to have a city like that" as my first introduction to Anno it was perfect. All the building there really gave you a taste of what was possible in game, and it was always super motivating to scroll over, look at Brigh Sands (click on the harbor to hear Uncle E talk smack) and then get back to it.

Your Bright Sands, was most likely the most motivating thing to start the campaign with, thank you for building it the way you did. Even when I don't play the campagain, I roleplay as playing relatives of the Goode family and my starting Islands is always renamed into "New Bright Sands".

That's great to hear, thank you! :)

Hey GastonUre, sorry to hear you got frustrated with the scenario.

I understand it's providing a rather different experience compared to the main game - intentionally so - where failing and learning from mistakes while also keeping some of your previous achievements for the next attempt.

It might still not be your cup of tea, that's not a problem albeit unfortunate. But I'm pretty sure that in the coming days people will figure out and share more tricks and advice on how to best tackle the scenario. Maybe you can give it another shot later by using some of those tips n tricks.

Yes that is a huge problem. Thats hundreds if not thousands of manhours for little to no gain. Manhours that can not be used elsewhere. Budgets and manhours are finite.

Not much to add here, yeah.

Reworking and rebalancing the whole game to include a mechanic like the "Eden Burning" scenario has would mean an immense amount of work which we're not planning to invest into something like this when there are other things that we could do that provide more value to our player base.

However, I get that the concept of it is fascinating, for sure. The Anno 1800 experience would certainly be a different one with such a mechanic.

I found it under Special ornaments. Very pretty tree.

Glad to hear it worked and you like the tree, and again sorry for the initial confusion.

Ubisoft is making no money from this DLC, all net proceeds (i.e. everything after taxes and other fees) is donated to Ecologi for their reforestation projects. Since this varies depending on currency and country, the formulation is purposefully bit "vague" since listing this for each and every country/currency is a bit of an overkill.

To add to what Oliver said- we are talking more than 40 different supported currencies, some of which can vary wildly in value. We are also selling this DLC on two external platforms with Epic Games Store and Steam, which adds further variables.

Bottom line is that all net revenue from sales of this DLC go to Ecologi (so, as Oli said, Ubisoft does not make any money from this), and that amount is guaranteed to be at least 1$ for every sale, regardless of platform or currency.

So when is it up again?

We stopped playing two years ago for constant issues in multiplayer.

Now we picked up the DLC in hopes that things have gotten better.

This is not looking good. We have 3 hours left at the most, since we have to work in the morning. Pretty disappointed and kinda regretting getting the DLCs.

I couldn't tell you since it's not handled by us.

But it seems they've run into some problems during the maintenance cause it has been extended multiple times. New ETA is 10 PM CET.

Sorry, that the maintenance crossed your evening plans.

Two entirely separate things.

The server maintenance has nothing to do with the update, but is a general Ubisoft server maintenance affecting (amongst other games) Anno and was supposed to last till 6 PM CET (coinciding with the release of GU 13)
