Welcome, test subjects. Thanks to the power of science, this update is bringing a big batch of changes, from new ways to play to the long-awaited launch of Apex Legends on Nintendo Switch.

The Chaos Theory Collection Event kicks off March 9th, 2021 and runs until March 23rd, 2021.

Today we’ll be telling you about:

• The launch of Apex Legends on Nintendo Switch
• The Caustic Town Takeover
• The Ring Fury Escalation Takeover
• The new “Heat Shield” item and accompanying Survival Slot in your inventory
• A “No Fill” queue option for brave (or is it c*cky?) solo Legends
• The Chaos Theory Collection Event and its associated rewards track, collectible cosmetics, and the new Bangalore heirloom
• And a ...

Earlier today we pushed out a small update to Apex:

• Fixed several character skins with grey, untextured hand models on consoles
• Several stability fixes.

We’re still investigating issues preventing some players from logging in.

2/4 HOTFIXES

• Fixed an error stopping players in Belgium from purchasing the Battle Pass (Note: the button will still say “Unavailable”, but clicking it will let you purchase the Battle Pass. A client patch later will fix the button still saying “Unavailable”).
• Fixed an edge case where the gas from Caustic’s ultimate would persist even after his squad was eliminated.
• Fixed an exploit letting players block damage from grenades by dropping items on top of them.
• Fixed an issue that allowed Fuse’s tactical ability to do damage through shields.
• Reduced likelihood of late-game circles ending on Mirage Voyage and The Pit in Kings Canyon.

The latest season of Apex Legends introduces our most explosive Legend yet, a hard-hitting new gun, a world-shattering update to Kings Canyon, and a whole new batch of quality-of-life updates.

Season 8: Mayhem brings the boom starting February 2nd at 10am PT.
