@KokuTheHuman There is no thought process or justification tbh đŸ˜…. The prices are severely outdated and set and adjusted by various people along the years with no clear unified logic. But thankfully we've got a balance pass coming up for the vanilla subs very soon.

@blairens I don't think that explains it either, because based on the screenshots we've gotten with performance statistics enabled, physics calculations don't seem to be taking any more time than usual in those situation.
@blairens We have tested it on weaker machines as well to no avail. It doesn't seem to explain this, since some of the people having these performance issues have very powerful PCs.
@AlexNeedham Hmm, we didn't do any changes to it in this update. Could it be that you (or the server host) have accidentally turned the setting from "transparent" to "opaque"?
@blairens 3/3 A save file where this occurs consistently might also help us diagnose it (if it's something that's affected e.g. by something in the sub or crew).
@blairens 2/3 entering the command "showperf" in the debug console when this happens and sending us a screenshot of what you see might give us some more clues, especially now that we made that info lot more fine-grained in this week's update.
@blairens No need to apologize, I understand how frustrating this must be. :/ Unfortunately the optimizations we did didn't address this water leakage problem, because we still haven't been able to reproduce it ourselves nor figure out what's causing it. 1/2
@blairens Which issue do you mean? Not sure if you mean overall bad performance in multiplayer; we did do a ton of optimizations in the latest version, but there is definitely still more work to be done on that front.
