We have just implemented a fix to the milestone issue, and your progress should now be tallying correctly. The fix we implemented will take your total pre-patch and add it to any progress you made post-patch.
When you login, you might not see the new total straight away, if that is the case then please see the below.
Step One
Sign in to your account -> go to heroes section in career screen -> see the progression is still reset.
Step Two
Join a game (any) -> quit to main menu -> go to heroes section in career screen -> see the progression is updated with your pre-patch numbers added in.
Step Three
Depending on what the new progression number is:
A. If below 5000, play as normal until you get 5000 kills in game -> quit to frontend -> crates section -> see reward
B. If above 5000, play a game and make 1 more kill -> quit to frontend -> crates ...

Quick update on the issue that came up yesterday with regards to your progress on challenges not carrying over.
We have identified a potential fix for this, and it is currently going through our testing pipeline. We estimate that this will likely release next week. Naturally, we would have liked to get it out before the weekend but as we are dealing with live databases, we do need to take extra precautions.
It might only be values in a database, but these values correlate to your Star Wars Battlefront II playing history, and we do not want to rush into a situation which causes knock-on effects to occur.
The good news is that your progress from before this week’s patch has not been lost, we can see it. We have verified this on our own accounts, as well as those provided by some members of the community. Thanks to those who were swift in giving some assistance when requested.

We have a small patch releasing on May 28 which aims to address a selection of issues that we have found, but also makes changes to the current milestone requirements for some of the appearances, including Darth Maul’s Old master.
We are making changes to the appearance milestone requirements, and instead of requiring you to defeat 5,000 enemies with a specific hero, this can now be done for any hero on their respective side. This means that for Darth Maul’s Old Master appearance, you will no longer need to defeat 5,000 enemies as Darth Maul, but as any hero on the Dark Side. Defeating enemies as a Light Side hero will be required to unlock the Luke Farmboy and Princess Leia appearances.
As a team, we’d like to give a shout out to those who have already unlocked the Old Master Appearance, the Force is definitely strong with you!
