That's not how things work. Until there's an official patch and the version number in the bottom right of the main menu in game changes, nothing they might be working on will affect the game. CO working on a DLC will not break anything on live until the DLC is actually released and we get the free patch.

I suggest you check out these guides. Traffic isn't broken at all and can be fixed without mods (mods just give you more options to micromanage things), but you'll need to get rid of the assumption that it works like real life. In game all drivers are the most patient people ever and don't care about being stuck in a loooong que. They just pick the fastest route as if there was no other traffic and then go. They only change lanes when they need to.

Are you sure you're looking in the right place? Highways have their own tab in the road menu and the 3 lane one is indeed base game and NOT from a mod.

Here's where it should be: https://i.imgur.com/VP0yJOy.jpg

We actually do exactly that in our modding beta program! This has made it much easier for modders to adjust to the new content/functionality we release as well as make completely new mods for the new content (see Parkify by Bloodypenguin!). That said it does not make everything bulletproof, some mods still need some work to be compatible with the live version. If you want to read more about the modding beta check out this thread: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/closed-modding-beta-application-info.940858/

It's been mentioned in a lot of places however as threads are still popping up I thought this PSA could be good! Our modding community are champions when it comes to dedication in bringing all your favourite mods up to date however we have to give them some time.

UPDATED!

Hey everybody! Tomorrow it's finally time for us to enter our Parklife as well as enjoy the contents of the free 1.10 patch!

As will likely not come as any surprise to the lot of you this will probably render some mods incompatible, this is nothing unusual but can of course be annoying.

To counter this as well as possible we of course have the Modder Beta program in which Content Creators can test and tweak their content for the new patch/expansion early however even so there might be some time until your favourite mod has been updated.

For the safest Cities experience we suggest turning off your mods until they have been updated to match the latest version! Our modders are usually incredibly fast in updating their mods compability however please do practice some patience as the patch launches and please help us in informing your fellow City builders in this! Thank you all so much and see you in some lovely City Park! :)

Also my game worked prior to the update. Can provide logs if necessary but post was too long to post with them.
Please do make a bug report to our forums if you think you've got a bug on your hands!

Did you try the last step of deleting the addon folder?
If so it might be worth checking that all your drivers are up to date!

Firstly, always disable all mods and restart the game and try again. If the problem persist, please contact our support. https://www.paradoxplaza.com/support

Disabled your mods but still got issues?
Disable all mods and custom content and restart the game. If the problem still persist, follow step below.

Disabling isn't always enough as they are still installed and can have an effect on other files. What's recommended is as follows:
- Go to your Cities: Skylines install location [example: X:\Program Files (x86)\steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines]
- Backup the folder contents in a zip file or seperate location
- Delete all loose files EXCEPT the Cities.exe [I.e delete files only, not the folders.]
- Right-click Cities: Skylines in Steam and enter Properties
- In properties go to "Local Files" and click V... Read more

I think both of these should help you narrow it down. Good luck!
