We have a patch for you today with a lot of bug fixes as well as a few new items to celebrate Cities: Skylines II.

Patch 1.17.1-f4 is out.

Latest patch notes

If you do play modded, you will be greeted with a notification when you start the game alerting you that some mods you are subscribed to haven't been created for the current version of the game. Opening the Content Manager will show you which mods were not made for the current version of the game, however, this does not mean the mod is broken. The notification is there to help troubleshoot but to determine which mods are known to be broken and which have been fixed, please see the list on the spreadsheet which can be accessed by clicking List Incompatible Mods.

Modders have been hard at work preparing updates, so please be patient while they apply those to the Workshop and sort out any issues that may not have been found in testing. Check the spreadsheet regularly to see which mods are st... Read more

Changes:
  • Lowered metro track upkeep cost.

Fixed:
  • IsIntercity error caused by custom stations.
  • Medium Road Bridge Trolleybus and Medium Road Elevated Trolleybus not attaching properly to the overhead wire poles.
  • Trolleybuses ignoring the stop signs.
  • Match day, Varsity Sport arenas and Festival Area missing an event audio.
  • Issue with creating metro lines to bus-metro hub's lower metro station in certain cases.

Sunset Harbor is almost here!

Upon release, you will automatically download patch 1.13.0-f7 on PC, which will include the changes listed below regardless of if you purchase Sunset Harbor or not.

This means that if you are using mods you may run into some save game incompatibility for a little while after release while mod creators update their mods. This can take some time, but thanks to an amazing modding beta and community, most mods are fixed in under 48 hours.

We’ll have an extra mods troubleshooting guide ready for you tomorrow!

Patch day means some mods are likely to break, meaning your city won't load/work like it usually does. But don't worry, most mods update pretty quickly or can safely be removed, so you are unlikely to lose your city.

Just don't panic and if you do open your save, don't save over the file - save as a new file instead just to be safe.

This patch contains a few bug fixes and the Paradox Launcher. Patch notes can be found here.

Such a minor patch is unlikely to affect mods, but I'll keep you updated in case any turn out to be broken. :)

  • Fix for Campus DLC: Campus Area buildings that are snapped to paths do not create University Efficiency for the city
