Added additional FX culling support to improve group combat performance.


Catapults will no longer deal double damage to other siege weapons.


Implemented SFX for mounting a Ballista and splitting an item stack.


Updated the appearance of Underhill Wartribe NPCs.


Updated Exploration skill tree (more tweaks coming to the Survival Area of the Tree!)


Removed weakest skill from each of the 3 areas: Survival, Gathering, Movement.

General:

There is now a setting to turn off screenshake FX.


Implemented several new plant appearance variations.


Fixed an issue where buff timers would reset after zoning.


Fixed an issue where the Hungry debuff was not appearing correctly.


Fixed an issue where the game would open to a black screen.


Improved the functionality of Retaliate.


Added the first iteration for limiting the number of FX rendered onscreen.

I went ahead and fast tracked this one, so we'll have the option available for you to turn it off in your settings screen in the next(?*) update to Test.

* or the one after...? I know that the work has done and has been sent to QA for testing, but not exactly sure when that version will go out. Should be very soon.

The 4/23 Snaptest will have 0 imports.

General:

Reduced disconnects from the server.


NPCs will now choose a lunge ability that will get them all the way to you, rather than always purposefully undershooting and missing you.

But in all seriousness, the Sentinel's Debuff are intended to apply to everyone on the Stronghold.
These are intended to be Meta Changers for the Defending team to adapt Sieges to play to their particular teams strengths. (usually based on class/discipline/player skill selections)

Keep calling out bugs, especially the new UI ones, there was a very low level UI optimization incorporated into this update which while super awesome overall caused quite of few breakages to specific UI's.

Hey folks,

Another quick check in on 5.110 "War of the Gods" development; we've been running Siege tests internally and we're knocking down bugs at a pretty rapid pace; as of this moment there are about a dozen issues remaining that we'd like to resolve before we put a Dregs campaign in front of you.

In the meantime, we appreciate all the help you guys have given us on finding and reproducing bugs with powers, crafting, interface and everything else. We have a testing team that works around the clock (literally) to find and document issues but they can't provide the kind of coverage that comes from having a few thousands players in the game and playing.

In preparation for Dregs testing, please make sure you have your Guild properly set up on crowfall.com, as the Test environment pulls guild data from the live website. We don't plan on doing a wipe, so whatever progress you've made so far will be there when the first test Camp...

I suspect the answer is something we have ordered up for another system,
The goals are;
To not destroy all the progression we have built for crafters,
make the crafters relevant early on,
in the process of making them relevant early, don't make the process so trivial the combantants bypass the need for crafters.
So basically have them do the thing they want to be doing in lieu of waiting.
Which sounds like crafting stuff and being rewarded with both character and passive skill XP.

We have internally always though as necro as advanced, but if you literally gate the "advanced" professions on X percent through previous professions, there is zero possibility of having a day 1 apples to oranges comparison between loot drops and crafts.

Day 1??!! I would propose that there won't be such a thing as a "crafter" then. The danger of such a low barrier of entry is everyone just makes their own.

Lots of questions in here, I'll throw some things out there.
Primarily the largest issue is the competition between Blacksmiths/Weaponsmiths/Leatherworkers/Woodworkers and War Tribe Gear. (Other professions just have to wait some time, and as long as they have been training and establishing supply lines, they will always be top.)The fundamental question for the weapons and armor makers is "How long should it take to be competitive with the loot drops from a stats perspective?" (Because form a durability perspective, the crafted stuff is top.)

Right now fully mastering all the points you can get in the skill trees for 1 crafting profession will take approx 60 days, and the account never has to train a skill of that type again. (Does that sound like a long time? It needs to be long enough that it feels like it has meaning, and doesn't become too commonplace amoungst the combatants, otherwise they will just train and craft fo...
