Sorry about the previous patch notes about this. When we tried to fix this for 1.7.0, we knew that there were some cases, especially in dual behemoth situations, that would cause this bug to happen. But in the interest of time, we pushed out a change that fixed the most egregious cases in the short term while we were working on a longer term solution to fix some of the underlying issues. Since a lot of people in the community were frustrated about this, we didn't want to wait until we had a "perfect" solution before trying to address some of the pain points. We should've explained that better and for future ongoing fixes, we'll try to be more clear so that you don't think something is completely fixed when it's not.

This patch should fix it though. We did a lot of tests and it looked solid. That said, there are a lot of people playing the game so there's a chance that there might be some other things we'll need to address. We'll try to resolve them as soon...

Just want to take this opportunity to clarify some things- we started prototypes for a Bow weapon a few years ago, but it was set aside for a few reasons, including a shift in priority to the Sword rework.

Later on an icon of the Bow was accidentally included in a preview image, but it was never meant to be announced or confirmed.

As we're starting very early exploration for the next weapon in Dauntless, Bow is one of the options being considered, but not the only one. Whatever it is, it's still quite a way out, and we'll have more updates when there's something concrete to share.

That's a hard question. I really like our environments and the stories they tell. We've also have been adding a lot more narrative elements to them over the past couple of patches that feel really nice and we've seen a lot of positive feedback.

Alright, another one popped up and this is a very old one that I can't recall if it was ever answered but here goes:

There's this one Facepaint that is always in the Store during Dark Harvest season called Harlequin and it's the only cosmetic that I can think of that has a "rent" system, i.e. you pay 50 Platinum (IIRC) to wear it but only for a specific duration (I think it was 1 week?). Why can't we just buy it for full price (150 Platinum) and let us keep it? What makes it so special for being the only one for rental use only?

That's a good question! That was a test and we haven't done it since. I'll poke some people to see where it went...

I can't answer for the others, but I really love the art style, especially in the environments. I think the aesthetic is just gorgeous. It's what struck a cord with me first.

For what I've worked on personally, I started writing for the game in June. Blazeworks was a big push to get some firm lore injected into the Hunting Grounds. I'm really proud of our buildup to the Phaelanx reveal. I had a lot of fun brainstorming/writing lore nodes, quests, lore blogs, and working with the artists/audio team to get some stuff into the environment (they're stupidly talented people). It was my first big substantial chunk of writing that made it into a game, and seeing players in-game run between lore nodes was amazing. Blazeworks will always hold a special place in my heart.

Also the three lore blogs leading up to TD Drask were really fun to write :D

We decided that pets weren't as high priority as a lot of other content, so we put them on hold for now.
