We recently coordinated an AMA with our backers and media partners! ❓
We couldn’t get to every question, and we prioritized ones that focused on the current state of #DeadMatter, but we had fun reading your inquiries and hope you enjoy our answers.

One of the few perks of the infected apocalypse?
You don't have to deal with insurance if you get into an accident.

Watery coffee, greasy food, cranky servers, and cooks who take 100 smoke breaks.
In other words: the perfect diner. ☕️🧑🍳🥓
It may have been rendered desolate by the infected takeover, but the charm remains.

Happy Friday, everyone!
One week has passed since we released the Closed Alpha 0.8 to community testers. Thanks to everyone who supplied feedback.
We have a brief blog post up on the site dedicated to some reflections on the update from our team.
Hey, survivors.
We have a brand new hotfix for 0.8. This hotfix addresses some of the bugs that have been reported in our 0.8 Closed Alpha Build. 🐛
Follow the link below for a complete list of bug fixes. 👇
On top of a total revamp of the Exshaw area, we added a nearby cave in 0.8 for Alpha testers to find and explore.
The cave has a small puzzle that must be solved in order to get through the gates.
Maybe there's some loot inside...

Now that we're approaching summer camping season here in Alberta, it's the perfect time to show off the new tents in 0.8! 🏕️
Tents act as mobile storage containers that can be used for creating makeshift bases as you explore.

After a slight delay, we're happy to announce that the 0.8 Closed Alpha update is out now!
Backers can hop in and provide feedback on the build while everyone is free to read our blog for details on the various improvements, new features, and fixes.
We encountered some multiplayer bugs in our most recent build of 0.8. This led to a variety of new issues we did not expect.
This means that we will now be releasing our Closed Alpha 0.8 update tomorrow on May 26. Time TBD.
The infected are out for blood. 🩸
Starting with the 0.8 closed alpha update, a blood spatter will vignette around players' screens as they take damage.
On top of the nasty effect, there will also be an indicator that shows the player where damage is coming from.
Sleeping bags will allow players to create a unique spawn point. Lay one down, rest in it, and when you die, you can select your sleeping bag location on the map. 💤
Sleeping will also let you recover lost energy! 😴
