To elaborate I see most things here, and other devs + our guy at coffee stain post links on our Slack frequently. Bug flairs are mostly used by QA, so that’s useful too - they also look at the Steam Forums, which I do to a lesser degree. Primarily because this subreddit has more varied content relevant to what I do at GSG.
Upvotes are relevant for visibility, but the amount isn’t vital. 1000 votes obviously makes something more visible that 10 do, but as soon something has enough upvotes to leave “new”, chances are much higher. I’ve also set up an IFTT to notify me of posts, so I often wake up to a bunch of notifications of new stuff on this subreddit.
There is some unavoidable personal bias as to what might be passed on. Great art, good videos, critical bugs, praise etc. is very frequently passed on. Suggestions for a Medic class, “we need more weapons”, and so on are not.
