As Lyricana linked, there will be a patch that will have a campaign skip option added without the need of going through prologue.

We expect this update to hit later this afternoon/evening. It will be a client patch.

Altars and other items end up just granting with the boost NPC.

We are modifying the blog to note this but it is still granting to players once they interact with the NPC and boost their characters.

Checking in on this since we’re seeing more players reporting this

We always have, we just don’t reply to every post. The PTR is to allow the community to test features and content coming in Season 4, due to the sweeping nature and complexity of these changes.

Great suggestion, moved it up

The PTR build is not linked to retail, and nothing from retail will carry over. There is detailed information available in the PTR forum and the blog.

It’s not mandatory, but we highly encourage those playing the PTR to share feedback so that we can determine what changes are needed.

Adding one additional one:

• Altars of Lilith may not appear on your Map after boosting and unlocking all the Altar rewards from the boost.

• When creating a new character, players will now have the option to Skip Campaign, this will enable the PTR Boost NPC in Kyovashad.

We wanted to provide a note regarding Campaign Skip functionality in PTR and how it will work.

When PTR begins, you will need to complete the Prologue of the game before the Boost NPC will appear in town. The NPC will allow you to skip the campaign along with all the other boosts.

The team is working on a possible client patch to remove the need to playthrough the Prologue, but this won’t be available right at the start of the PTR.

As we prepare for the start of the first Diablo IV PTR (Public Test Realm), we want to remind everyone what PTR is and what are some of the larger known issues that you may experience in this testing period. PTR allows players to check out and provide feedback on some of the content coming to Diablo IV in the near future.

Due to PTR being a preview of upcoming content, please note that many things are still in the early stages, and we have identified several notable ones in the list below. You should expect to see some less polish in a PTR from what you see in the final release, and that is totally normal. We can assure you that these items will be addressed before the start of the new season along with other smaller items that may not be listed below.

We are looking forward to the feedback the Diablo IV community provides throughout this PTR process, and we are thrilled to have everyone jump into the big changes coming to Season 4.
