The wind pierces through the region, carrying with it the ravenous wail of a bizarre beast rumored to dwell in the frost-laden hinterland. Nobody has ever dared lay eyes on the source of this piercing terror, but perhaps you have ample warmth in your heart to track down and slay your way through the Midwinter Blight, wanderer.
From December 12, 10 a.m.–January 2, 10 a.m. PST players on the Seasonal Realm in World Tier I or above can sink their sword into frostbitten demons by heading over to the Midwinter Square in Kyovashad and speaking with Gileon, the bard. After hearing rumors about spiteful dangers lurking in the snow and the advanced cold sapping the morale of Kyovashad’s citizens, Gileon seeks to reignite the holiday spirit in the townsfolk the only way he knows how—with a celebration!

Hello all -
We want to thank everyone for the feedback you all have been providing over the last few days since the launch of Abattoir of Zir.
As we talked about at BlizzCon, we wanted to add additional end game features in Diablo IV and have players provide feedback for what could be possible permanent additions in the future as we continue growing the player experience in game.
We have some initial changes we want to provide to players in a hotfix tomorrow for the game that will address some feedback we have been seeing with Abattoir of Zir.
Glyph Experience Rewards
We are going to adjust glyph experience rewards starting from Tier 2 upward to be significantly more as you progress through higher tiers of Abattoir of Zir. This should help with feedback we’ve been seeing from players on the amount of time it would take to level up your Tears of Blood glyphs and also benefit other Glyphs you may want to level up as well.

Hi all -
We have pushed out a PC client patch for Steam and Battle.net users to address the Paragon Glyph issue and a few other items. Notes can be found below.
The team has identified an issue that players are experiencing with paragon glyphs showcasing misrepresented levels from the levels achieved prior to the 1.2.3 update. We plan on addressing this on PC with a new client update that will be shipping later today. We will update players on timing of this release once available.
For console users, we plan on releasing an update with Xbox and PlayStation as soon as it becomes available. We will have updated timing later today.
Users that were max level on paragon glyph XP, you can re-level the glyphs in the meantime if you prefer until the fix is available. For those that were below the max glyph XP, you can still progress your glyphs and after the fix will have that glyph XP added to the old amounts prior to the 1.2.3 update.
Separately, we have seen reports from players regarding the advanced tooltip on the Tears of Blood glyph mentioning it is additive as opposed to multiplicative. This is a known issue that we not...

A quick few notes prior to the 1.2.3 update coming to Diablo IV on Tuesday via a same day server side hotfix.
The Melted Heart of Selig will no longer count as the player spending resources when resource is drained from damage taken in PvP zones.
We are doing this because of an interaction that is causing some performance issues for players. Per our earlier commitments, we will make our best efforts to not nerf builds during the Season and we are only applying this as it is impacting player game performance.
For Season 3 this will be fixed for all areas outside of PvP as well.
Separately, when 1.2.3 hits, we will have a known issue with advanced tooltips on the Tears of Blood glyph where it will show bonuses as additive. The icon is incorrect and it is actually multiplicative. That will also be noted in the hotfix notes for Tuesday.
On November 30, we held a Campfire Chat that sliced into our first seasonal endgame event Abbatoir of Zir, and foreshadowed chills yet to come in Midwinter Blight.
Associate director of community Adam Fletcher, game director Joe Shely, and associate game director Joe Piepora detailed the fearsomely challenging endgame dungeon that arrives on December 5 in Abattoir of Zir. We visited the frozen lands of the Fractured Peaks to show the Frigid Husks and Blightfiends now permeating the land in tribute to the Red Cloaked Horror. We also confirmed there will changes to itemization arriving with a future season next year and answered questions from players in a Q&A session at the end of the stream. On December 5th, descend into a most brutish challenge from Zir himself. For those wanderers that have already completed the Season’s Journey, this endgame pinnacle dungeon challenge awaits you. You will have 10 minutes to slay the horrors within and defeat Zir’s loyal Bloodseekers to succeed. On completion of each trial, an even more difficult challenge awaits…
Prepare for the Abattoir
Ready your blades, review your trusted incantations, and muster all your strength before entering the Abattoir of Zir. In World Tier IV, this challenge serves to test the most formidable wanderers of Sanctuary.
Players must have completed all Chapters of the Season Journey first, before flaying adversaries in the Abattoir of Zir. Once completed, you’ll unlock a recipe to craft a Bloodforged Sigil. Craft this at the Occultist to spawn the Visceral Channel in Ked Bardu which grants access to the Abattoir.
