With the announcement of the new EVE comic series we have here a place for everyone to discuss everything related to Velocity, Dark Horse and the series itself.

As was mentioned in the news item, the first chapter in the four-part series, “Velocity”, can be previewed on the comic’s official landing page, with the full 20-page chapter available to read online through a selection of partners for free! The rest of the series is slated to be released throughout the upcoming year.

Thanks for your patience while this matter was discussed extensively within various departments including Customer Support.

It’s clear there is some confusion regarding what is an exploit and what is allowed. This may have been caused by a reference to posts by CCP’ers which may be outdated. EVE Online and its underlying mechanics continuously change, but the Known & Declared Exploits help center article is the definitive reference for exploits that all players should keep an eye on.

We don’t have any eagle fits at this moment, but we’re slowly expanding. However it’s a higher SP ship and so not quite the target audience for the Academy.

This sounds like a bug. Please make sure to file one.

OP and development update:

All ships that had the specialized ore hold will now see a Mining Hold where all mine-able resources can be stored. The new Ore, Ice and Gas specialized holds are added to hauling ships as per the original plan.

The mining hold capacity for barges and exhumers is being update as per the following table:

1. At the moment the proposal is to have basic minerals removed and PI materials added.

2. Your mining crystals and crystal BPOs will be converted to the new equivalents. Likewise, any skillbook costs will be reimbursed.

I unpinned a few other topics there that were a bit old such as the discussion of the 2017 tutorial and another list of guides which also contained a fair bit of outdated information.

EVE Academy contains lists of up-to-date player guides, so we may not need to replace that second one but we can always curate a new one if needed.

EVE is complex and there are a ton of detailed resources out there - our goal is to provide easy to digest information on various EVE topics to give people the information they need to get started immediately in gameplay that fits their interests.
