Hi, game installs fine and is great, but can we get a patch asap to fix the constant stutter/freezing periodically on Xbox. The game freezes up on and off while scrolling in menus like inventory, in space combat and pretty much everywhere in between.

We understand that some pilots would like to freely rebind buttons, but this can be a really deep rabbit hole on consoles due to super strict certification on console platforms—like checking for deadlocks when unplugging your controller during rebinding or double-assigning. This is especially the case when every single controller button is used, some even in conjunction; this is why there are currently no plans to support fully customizable controls on console as users couldn't delete their input.ini to start all over if locked out. /Michael

Also, I find it very strange that a product isn't even tested on the platform before it's released.

Either you should do this better in the future or MS needs better dev kits.

The only way to test games on consoles BEFORE release is to run dev kits in consumer mode, which we did, and the game ran fine. We're now trying to identify if we did something wrong with the dev kits during testing—nobody is perfect—or if this really is an issue with the dev kits.

We've been getting reports across the board with stuttering issues, ouch. Not sure how this happened, but we have prioritized this issue and will be working towards a solution as soon as possible.

isn't today supposed to be launch day? i won't click on a pre-order button ever again out of principle since ever No Man's Sky happened, i don't care about test versions or renting limited time access to games without DLC (Gamepass) - and no, as a console player i don't care about community fixes either. sell me something or don't, i certainly won't have trust in a product that is such a complicated bunch of code like a modern video game if the parties involved can't even get the comparatively trivial part of selling it correctly done right.

I can understand the hesitance; one issue we're addressing is that our game is still listed as a pre-order, as well as having a release date in the year 2799. I can confirm neither of these things are accurate, and will have this addressed on the XBox store page as soon as we can.

XBox is now up! We really appreciate the patience as this definitely took longer than we had anticipated (sorry about that), but the download is ready.

If you are still not seeing it, there appears to be a community "trick" to jumpstart it by changing your region, restarting your console, starting the download, then changing your region back. Otherwise, the distribution across all regions should stabilize very soon and be available everywhere without issue.
