In all other situations, you're building the starter base which will provide materials for your intermediate base, which in turn will allow you to build your megabase.

Restarting is a trap - there are so many posts here from so many people who have identified that they've created a powerful habit of always restarting at around the same stage of the game, and therefore never progress beyond it.

Unless biters are eating your things faster than you can make them, you're able to push through these humps.

The problem is that factorio is very specific and the memory differences could play a bigger role than in generic other tests. So having a factorio user make a benchmark with factorio specifically is best info you could get

However, are you sure it is because the Spidertrons think they are moving? Does the problem happen if enabled the logistics while moving?

BTW I don't see any similar bug reports on the forum, that is the place to report bugs if you want them to be fixed, especially if they are serious enough to prevent you playing any more.

That is to say, are the tips locked/unlocked per save or is it global?

The tips states are global, it seems obvious to me. Especially because we need to remember which tips were already marked as read, so we won't notify the user with the same tip again and again, that would be plain stupid :)

The tech should give you information of what the thing generally helps you with, like "high-thoughput long-distance transportation", and the tips gives you more detail instructions how to actually use that system.

I like the sound of this decision. I already had a circuit based system that would do most of this, but one problem I had with it is that when rates were such that it would ping back and forth across requesting a train, turning the station on and off and confusing other trains.

Hello,
we finished with the regular Friday Facts series, and yet, there is still so much we want to talk about. I want to clarify, that we are not going to release FFF every week, but there are a few of them coming in the near future.


1.1 - The real 1.0

The point of 1.1 isn't to add some new content, the main motivation is to finalise all the existing features so that they work together in a proper way. This may sound a little bit abstract and boring, but it will be explained more clearly in the upcoming FFFs. Believe me, the sentence "I didn't know I needed this until now" will come to your mind more than once.

The work on the 1.1 update started basically right after the 1.0 release, so there is already lots to show.
