Thanks for pointing this out - we'll take care of it in a future update (won't make it this week).

u/innerchildndc Mind helping this guy out?
Looks like they fixed it before I even got here!
You're forgetting Squads and Duos will be 1 game with 2 to 4 winners (the solo squad winners are very few and far between) that kinda makes the math a bit fuzzy. Plus all the 50v50 games as well will wildly throw of the stats. WE NEED MORE DATA!
We didn't count 50v50 in this :) I debated it but since it was such a different mode ...
PSA: The whole Fortnite team watched this epic showdown
Hey folks!
With the release of V.2.1.0, two PC performance issues emerged:
* Game client hardlock, most notably when alt+tabbed away from the client.
* Significant in-game hitching.
Following our investigation, we discovered that both issues were due to a certain audio configuration and immediately pushed a backend update to disable it. Disabling this component should have no impact on game audio.
While this won’t fix all performance issues for all users, we believe the major PC performance regressions shipped with 2.1.0 are now resolved. We’re continually investigating performance issues in the pursuit of providing the smoothest experience possible for all players.
As always, thank you for your patience!

Heya folks,
We have a brand new feature for NVIDIA owners coming in that will allow you to quickly share those hype Fortnite Battle Royale plays. NVIDIA ShadowPlay Highlights is supported for all PC gamers using GeForce GTX 650 and above graphics cards.
Introducing, ShadowPlay Highlights from NVIDIA! No longer will your friends have to “take your word” when you tell them about that mountain sliding snipe headshot. ShadowPlay will save plays automatically by default. You are also able to manually configure which plays get saved to customize it to fit your style.
More info on ShadowPlay features can be found ...

Yep, we have the task made and someone will likely be on it in the next week.
We're on /r/all !
First :)
Hey I just spoke with the AD, we are making this happen :)
So what does this mean for playing? Is it going to be fixed today?
It is fixed right now, we just wanted to give everyone a heads up since we may run into more problems in the next couple days.
Just about to log on. Is there big queue times?
Right now there is a waiting room. So many players are trying to login at once as our services are recovering that we need to funnel players in slowly. This is something we need to do to make sure we are as stable as possible during recovery.
Attention Fortnite community,
We wanted to provide a bit more context for the most recent login issues and service instability. All of our cloud services are affected by updates required to mitigate the Meltdown vulnerability. We heavily rely on cloud services to run our backend and we may experience further service issues due to ongoing updates.

Thanks for acknowledging so quickly, could you estimate a time for a fix?
We are testing a couple fixes now. No ETA yet as we haven't found a concrete solution.
We acknowledge that players currently cannot login to Fortnite and are running into an error message. We've got the team looking into this now.
