Gems of War Dev Tracker

The Weapon filter is a programming task not a design task so there’s no overlap.

We want to support Gems on next gen but it’s still too early for me to have any details to share yet.

Yes but changes are still waiting to be verified so I don’t want to post about too much until it’s confirmed.

@Sipalman I checked to make sure it was random after seeing your post. 3 players were affected by the mythic. 1 got War, 1 got Arachnaean Weaver and 1 got Tina-9000 if I recall correctly.

We haven’t made any changes to the forum super recently, so I’m not sure when it was removed or if it was something Discourse changed at some point. We did update the website awhile back as you all know so maybe it got lost in that change somehow. I’ve mentioned it to the team but it’s not a huge priority at the moment.

Almost every forum post from Devs comes from myself or Salty as that’s our job, so hopefully that makes finding info from Devs easier unless you’re looking for some original post by Sirrian back in the day. I did turn a couple of his old posts into Help Center articles as they were still relevant as I didn’t want any good information getting buried on the forum in some obscure thread. ie. Guild Wars scoring and stuff about how our RNG works.

Hey, we noticed this and have already fixed it for the next update, version 5.1.

Unfortunately, it requires a client update so it’s not something we could fix on the fly for this week’s event.

Hi folks, Salty and I have both been unwell in the past week.

Because of this my focus has been more on support than on the forums in order to ensure our players are getting the help they need even though I haven’t been as available due to this, and unfortunately Salty was unwell yesterday on the stream day.

We’ll endeavour to reply to some more threads later this week, but at least one of us have been reading the forum each day and making note of anything that needs to be passed onto the team.

I’ve been speaking to Salty and at this stage next week’s stream is still planned to go ahead.

There is a subset of serious players that love Guild Wars and invest a significant amount of their time and energy towards it. This is an important part of our playerbase, but it is also by no means our largest. Many of these players spend several hours in game weekly as well, regardless of whether it is Guild Wars week.

I’m collating feedback in this thread, so please keep discussing the things @Starlite has mentioned. I do not know if anything can be changed, and we won’t be able to run Guild Wars and World Events seperately, but I’ll gather opinions from here for the devs just in case.

It’s all on me team, and I take responsibility. I had a migraine so bad that I lost all vision and feeling in my hands yesterday and only emerged from bed at 3 pm after hours of pain and vomiting. When in office it’s easier for @Kafka to check in with me, but since we are working from home I went MIA. I apologise for any confusion caused, but I was not well enough to make updates.

Anytime I am not that level of sick I do my best to let you know what is happening, but this time it was very, very bad. I’ll work with Kafka on a check in system so she can update you if I’m this sick again in future.

That’s on me. I had such a severe migraine that I was in bed until 3 pm and completely lost my vision.

@AMT I’ve spoken to Sirrian, who is checking the forums from home, but not posting. As he isn’t posting he hasn’t been logging into his account, as it isn’t necessary. So yes, Sirrian has been frequenting the forums, but won’t have popped up in the Dev Tracker because he isn’t logging in.

For posterity, I have asked him to log in now, and he has done so. <3
