I got to meet Joe at the studio some years ago. Don't remember if it was around the 2012 launch or for an expansion. At any rate, he seemed really nice and was wearing that same jacket so he was impossible to miss. :)

Your best bet is to hang around in one of the cities at reset, a lot of people offer theirs around that time.
especially if that city is in the region for the gathering daily (eg. Hoelbrak when Shiverpeaks Miner is one of the dailies)
excellent video! Perhaps someone could make an infochart out of this
Yes, I found myself wanting a Venn diagram of roles to stats when I was watching this. Very informative though
I'm a heavy user of the wiki and even I didn't understand what exactly was wrong and when it would be fixed :) Just worried that a lot of newer players will be put off from using it and GW2 isnt the easiest game when it comes to learning about specific items (whats needed, what to vendor etc)
Worry not. I can see that there hasn't been less users or less use (pageviews or average time spent on the wiki) of the wikis since the maintenance!
I of course thank everyone for their contributions to the wiki, it's helped me and countless others immensely over the years. I would suggest though that a shout-out to the issues be posted somewhere public- the wiki is so ingrained into the game at this point that both vets and new players are struggling to find information at the moment. Vets can cope, new players may be put off.
The wiki editors did put a big notice at the top of the wiki to let all visitors know about the issues.
32% mechanist in raids. That's not a small percentage. A solution I could think of would be to nerf catalyst!
Hijacking top comment to add a quick note. Internal metrics put mechanist at 20% in raids between Aug 23 - today (vs the 32.76% in the OP). There's a bit of selection bias in the Wingman data, likely due to the nature of the platform and who uses it. My understanding is that it's all self-reported. 20% is still pretty high, of course - not refuting that at all. Changes incoming. :)
Roy flexing on cmc with his shirt and his jug of water
Well it was the only way I had any hope of keeping up with his levels of hydration!

My post was blessed by ArenaNet Partner Snebzor. A glorious day.
This post took longer to appear than I expected. I owe someone $5.
On a more serious note, the next release is on October 4 and includes the competitive-focused balance update that Cal (cmc) and Roy (Roy) are going to preview on Twitch this Friday. We should have the next roadmap and studio update out sometime around that Oct 4 release.

Congrats, Sneb!
