Hi everyone, We’ll be moving the date of the December monthly up by one week to Saturday, December 16th. The qualification point requirement will be reduced to 50 to compensate for the shorter qualification window.

This thread has been appropriately closed, and people who believe they were suspended or banned in error should contact Customer Support if they wish to appeal. That said, we'd like to provide a little more context. Most players using mounts or chairs to unlock waypoints are not caught in our automated bot reports. Even if they were, we do a manual review of such reports. Our team knows about this legitimate use of mounts and chairs, and we look at more contextual data to inform our review. We understand that the possibility for false positives exists regardless; that is why we encourage those who feel their suspension is unfounded to contact Customer Support. Thank you.

Thank you all for reporting the issues with the Dragon Response Missions in the Dungeon Rush event. We're investigating it, but we're at a stage in our process for next Tuesday's Wintersday release that makes it very difficult for us to safely address this issue in the live game. We'll be able to fix this for future iterations of the event, but we aren't able to fix the DRM bug this week. We sincerely apologize for the trouble we know this is causing. The specific issue, as some people have rightly deduced, is that the instance owner is getting all credit for a DRM completion. Players can either solo the DRM or take turns in private groups to work around this issue.

Ooh grats! I hope you have lots of fun with it! And thank you so much! <3

This quest step isn't intended to reset progress under any circumstance; I'll investigate.

  • Edit - I've confirmed that this isn't working as designed (similar quest steps from Season 1 do not reset) and the bug is tracked internally. This is a side effect of BFLA's setup, so it may not be a fix I can rush in but it's in the pipeline.

Good morning all, I looked into this as soon as I got in this morning. I'm very sorry, this was an oversight and those of you who were impacted by this bug should be receiving Golden Black Lion Chest Keys. If you haven't yet contacted our Customer Support team, please do. If you've already contacted them, they'll reach out via your ticket.

Hi all, we did correct this in the latest game build, so once you update your game client it shouldn't be an issue any longer!

@Julischka Bean.7491, I am so, so sorry for the loss of your mother. I'm glad that Tyria can be a bit of a refuge for you when you need it--please keep taking care of yourself! For what it's worth, we have no issue with players working together to get through jumping puzzles in different ways, including offering guidance, teleport to friend, or mesmer portals.

Yep! It should respect the level and rarity of the weapon you're wielding.

I can explain this in more detail to help clarify what it means and why it works this way:: Essentially every skill in the game has a weapon strength value that's used in the damage calculation. For most skills, it's pretty straightforward: Rifle skills use rifle weapon strength, for example. However, for some profession skills (like certain f1-f5 skills) they would just use the weapon strength of whatever weapon was equipped at the time. If you had a staff equipped, your profession skill would use staff weapon strength, but if you had an axe equipped it would use the axe weapon strength, which is lower. We made the change so that these cases would use a consistent value for weapon strength instead of dealing a different amount of damage depending on your equipped weapon.
