just had a game of land grab on Rendezvous where the objectives never spawned. anyone else have an issue with this?

That's pretty much how it is. This is indeed technically "CU31" that's coming out tomorrow. "March Update" is just more digestible from a broad perspective, IMO, so we prob won't be leaning into "CUXX" as blog titles or the lead on social. "Content" in the "Content Update" is essentially anything that requires a client download (content is code, too, not just a map or cosmetic item) as opposed to the service-side updates we also perform regularly.
TLDR = call it whatever you want. There are multiple nomenclatures used internally, too. :)
I was fortunate to have a buddy who worked at Xbox at the time and he brought home a dev kit and a pre-release build of Halo:CE when the whole division was working to playtest and help with release readiness. This was probably a few months before it finally launched (can't remember exact timing). We played the hell out of campaign co-op all weekend and the rest is history! <3

Okay that definitely seems like this has to do with the map itself then.
I also had a completed match on Formation (victory) and there were no post-game stats, zero XP, zero career rank, and nothing counted towards my challenges.

Any update on the Brushtread Disruptive issue from last week? Me and it seems everyone else who bought the bundle when it was on sale last week are still yet to actually recieve the coating... despite it having taken the credits and showing the bundle as purchased.
i'm a passenger in that boat too!

you can install it on either platform and play it without game pass :)
if you mean multiplayer, you don't even need to buy it - the game is fully free to play.
if you mean campaign, that should all carry over no problem as it's tied to your account. :)
I got it for Mark VII/IV when I did obtain it but the other coatings are locked. When clicking in armory or the store it show all coating but ask for credits instead of unlocking
that's....weird.
have you tried rebooting your game? not launching from quick resume and all that. i can't replicate that issues so i'm a bit confused.

hmm i was able to apply it to my YOROI earlier, are you unable to apply it to any core?
edit - just checked the rest of my cores and i'm not experiencing an issue. can you try relaunching your game and try again?
