Generals!

Operation Pike is rolling out with plenty of new bug fixes, Modding Support, Balance Tweaks and changes for our Canadian comrades in the North!

The patch will be live on Steam today, but the Microsoft patch is unfortunately delayed until March 14th, sorry about that!

bitmode said: In my opinion, battles should actually be much faster.

This is something that's just baked into the design of the game. And it has odd results.

Most big naval battles in the period lasted 1 to 5 days at the most. Convoy battles were sometimes longer, but these also are of the "convoy attacked in multiple running battles" variety.

It's worth pointing out that when capital ships were involved, longer naval battles were problematic simply because they burned so much fuel when fighting. But we don't have to worry about th... Read more

I would rather like to see the next patch milestones tested and completed, have bugs being ironed out, balance improved and the game including its current dlcs polished before seeing another dlc published.

Perikles said: Are there any plans to fix the problem that torpedoes do only marginal damage in surface naval battles on capital ships that you don't need a screen any more and are better off by just building capital ships? Thr small amount of damage they do is compensated by the positioning disadvantage of a fleet with screens. This corrupts the implemented combat system.
Hm, that does seem like quite the annoyance, if you deem it as a bug, could you create a ... Read more

GianpietroU90 said: Thanks for this more than welcome patch! As a separate request would it be possible to add an in game mini generic focus for every democratic country which are in a faction? Not a big focus such as the one for Poland, the Netherland or Framce, more like "receive a military factory out of the mal" "6 of steel out of the map" and "one dockyard form out map" so you can actually continue the fight in a functional way? It will be awesome for all the European democratic minors countries. And I don't think it will seriously impact the balance of forces in Europe.

Thanks again:)...

That if I play Germany and take the Rhineland focus the whole Oppose Hitler path will dissapear?

Speaking of it, is there any hope of a communist path for Germany? feels like a big missing one to me.

Also, thank you for the Goga fix! I can finally make him from the worst fascist leader to the best fascist leader. #TheGreatGoga
Correct! If you have the game rule selected, the unavailable political tree will be hidden!

Can we please get all the DLC done first that are on the official roadmap?
Also: Cold War had been attempted once and failed.

Personally I do not see the appeal of a cold war scenario. It is basically sitting around, tech-rush the other side, build more nukes than the other side. The boredom is interrupted only by the now and then occuring surrogate war.

Pluto2006 said: What makes the difference between Open Beta from 2nd February and Sabre patch?
We updated the Open beta once with these changes below. The reason we have Open betas is for two reasons, one of them is for us to find issues that we can fix for the release of a patch, and the second is to give modders a heads-up and time to update to the latest patch! Hope this information helps!

Ah! Forgot to put that in, it will momentarily be updated with how far we have gotten!

I looked up the mod name in the Steam Workshop and it does not seem to be there. Is it possible that this mod was removed from the workshop by its creator? If that is the case steam also updates the mods on your computer which means the launcher still looks for the mod (since it is in a playlist) but cannot find the descriptor file or the mod files anymore. Therefore the error.

Not a tech support issue so moved to main forum. If the community agrees it's likely to be a bug, post in Bug Reports please.

I really should have tagged the OP as well, since I know that you know that I know that you know.... Well, you get the point.

News on DLC are never early nor late. They arrive exactly when they are meant to and for all to see. Until then there is no point at all to ask for the whens and ifs.

That's the optimum path against a human opponent, certainly.

But I'll be honest: one of the ways I scam the AI is to run something akin to this set up.

Run Battlefield Support as your doctrine. And build multi-role planes like this:

I've seen AI Romania blow the Suez in an MP game with humans on majors because of how weird occupation come out with exp. forces and so on.
