Among the good playerbase (Hyper Sweat.. etc..), using Komodo is viewed as being toxic (for a valid reason). I was a regular Komdo user before de 2.1 patch (I'm still 4th in total kills overall, was 2nd before). I can't use it now because it is unfair and still overpowered.
Thanks to this awesome community, most players don't use the gun for the same reason.

Yep agreed with you, data doesn't ever tell the whole story (not that i said it did). The team uses the following inputs for their balancing decisions: player feedback, user research, and gameplay data. Whenever possible it's not driven off of just one of those facets.
Part of the reason my team has a job is because the devs know they can't work only based off of data, specifically because data can never show things like context, or frustration/annoyance.
But in terms of what Thomas was referring to with "fixed" it was the error in the 2.1 radius change to Komodo which was indeed fixed in 2.2.
