We have more specs coming in from NVIDIA once they have completed their testing.
However, Icarus *is* a graphically beautiful game which does require a decent graphics card, before loss of quality ensues.

If you're testing Icarus during our beta weekends, definitely let us know what card you are using, and give us your feedback!

Hi Medium Gap,

Dean was unwell yesterday. As for the snow - our allocated time for these streams are 1 hour, it takes a while to prepare to head over that way and ensure we can survive there. We do want to show more of the snow biome, and perhaps a small portion of the desert, and will in time, but we do want to be mindful that folks wish to experience some of the game for themselves as well.

We are about to head into a beta later this month, so our community can help us with testing, ensuring that any bugs or stability issues are reported, allowing us to get the game ready for launch come November.

Thanks for your feedback on the streams. We know there is a demand to show *more more more* but it's good to keep in mind that not many other indie studio's show or share as much as we have in this streaming format, it isn't well navigated ground and we are doing our best with what we've got :D

Thank you!

    • The timer itself is not actually related to game time.
    • The timer counts down in real time while no player is active.

Huhlig you were banned from the Discord for your behaviour, and I am not surprised that you are in these forums posting more negativity.

People aren't disappearing from the discord just outright, but you did because we banned you and it was justified. We have processes in place to ensure our community is not a toxic environment. And if someone oversteps, we don't need to warn, we can just ban.

This is your first warning on our reddit forums.

Hi there!

I wouldn't say Icarus is "unheard of" we have over 5000 Discord members and just under 400,000 wish lists on Steam!

We've also been mentioned in multiple gaming news articles too! Check out our latest article that just dropped today by IGN https://www.ign.com/ar...

The Talent tree and Tech tree are coming along really nice. We're excited to cover this (in due time!!). The game is much more intricate than what has been shown presently.

I am honestly perfectly fine with it. I saw the writing on the wall over the past month and a half whenever monetization came up and it was kinda just put out as "not sure yet." So I had already prepared myself to pay.

Now I was pleasantly surprised at the $30 price tag. I was expecting $40 at the least. I have spent more on games that I knew less about and a similar amount on games that had way less to them than Icarus.

It did hurt a bit dropping $100 but I saw it more of a supporter pack rather than a deluxe edition. So rather than trying to break down how much each thing in the deluxe edition was costing I just saw it as a chance to show my trust in the team and recognize all their hard work. Even after the sale was added I didn't refund and repurchase because of my mindset of wanting to support the team as much as possible.

I'm sorry that the Deluxe Edition hurt, and we're grateful for your feedback on this.

Thanks for placing your trust in us to deliver Icarus as a fun and evolving game to play.

Hey SlashSun!

It definitely made more financial sense for us given our situation, too. There were a few variables at play.

In regards to the XP Booster, it is for a limited time only and will not be able to be purchased in game. We're incentivizing players to pre-order with this as an added benefit.

Personally I'd of been fine with xp boosts or a season pass formula been sold, i removed icarus from my wishlist now... It looked ok for a free game but looks a bit meh to say it would be a paid game. I may still buy it when i see some people playing but as of what's available to view now and what I've read about the game I'm not so sure.

You're totally entitled to your own thoughts and opinion on this! But we love our community and listen to them. I'm on guard to help ensure we don't do any wrong by them, too.

I hope you get to see more Icarus gameplay and change your mind! We'd love to have you in our community.

We are running tests to further detail which rigs can play Icarus at a baseline level.

Nice Video!! I think the idea of being able to specialize in an area of interest is definitely a huge draw for people... and the fact that you might lose it if you miss your drop lends a certain danger but also pride in ownership. This is still sounding super awesome!! Can't Wait!!

We love to hear this, thanks!!

Haha keep your creativity flowing Matt! But also don't overwork yourself ;)

Played not Made is a great philosophy! I like when Bobby Lever said that you based decisions on experiences that you were having in game. I agree and think that its really important that the developers play their own games during the creation process. Keep up all the fantastic work!! Can't wait!!

Absolutely!

Thank you for the feedback, keep it coming!! :D
