Icarus was showcased at The PC Gaming Show! What a stellar event with many new and upcoming games being announced alongside us.
Our new trailer featured Icarus' three biomes, Forest, Snow and Desert, and we also provided a closer look at our Bears who were in hot pursuit of the player. There may also have been a Mammoth... Somewhere.

Developer Stream is Scheduled for 6 PM PT Today (1 PM NZT) Dean and Lorii are back at it again with another live stream. New gameplay trailer and pre-orders available now

AAA survival game Icarus is available to pre-order now on Steam. Players who pre-order can also access the Beta Weekends from 28 August 2021.

Icarus is a uniquely session-based PvE survival game for up to eight co-op players. Set on an Earth-like failed terraforming planet players explore, craft, build and survive against the elements while searching for exotic matter. Players return the exotics to orbit to craft more advanced tech and progress their character for the next drop.

The Standard Edition is available to pre-order now for USD $29.95 with a 10% pre-order discount.

A Supporters Edition is available for USD $99.95 and includes Icarus’ next two DLC chapters New Frontier and Dangerous Horizons, an limited-edition First Cohort envirosuit, plus two additional Outpost maps. This edition also has a 10% pre-order discount.

Even a PVE game can be ruined by bad monetisation i think. Making a F2P means guessing exactly how big your market is, and pricing part of our game so that you can make enough from that market to cover your costs.

More and more we just felt like the F2P aspect was causing us issue and we didn’t feel comfortable with how we were looking to approach it.

We feel much more comfortable with a game priced at a modest price point which is where we are now.
