I figured, but I also figured he had a big hand at designing this. I’m sure we’ll hear about this on the next JLXP.

I did not have any hand in designing this voting system.

Where's the health change?

"Fixed a bug that would cause the cursor to move erratically when using smart pings." is what issue you are referring to, which is the first bugfix.

I agree. I think Shadowflame should look a lot more like Youmuu's. Lich Bane's pretty good, though, at least.

Memories of 2015, just like the rest of us.

Thank goodness we did all those historic top 10s this split.

We try not to add additional ratios, because each ratio added makes the game 0.1% more complicated. Multiply this by 150 and suddenly the game becomes a lot more complicated. We only do it if we absolutely have to.

It's already daunting to come back to League as a returning player. Imagine how daunting it is to learn League now as a new player.

Really glad to hear this. Sometimes in "gamer" spaces mental health isn't valued, encouraging to see Riot cares about it.

Thank you! It's really important. I've been personally affected by it as I'm sure many others have as well. This is just something all of us in the industry should be thinking about and trying to work together to help as much as we can, IMO.

There is an Emergency Substitution Clause in 4.5 that reads:

In the event of an emergency prior to the scheduled start of a Match, a Team will be given up to two hours to produce an eligible substitute on-site. If a replacement cannot be found, then the Team will forfeit. League Officials will determine if an event qualifies as an emergency.

I think it's safe to assume that the League Ops will classify this situation as an emergency, especially considering the substitute player is already contracted by the org and it's clearly not just a ploy for an upgrade.

Yes, I can confirm that LCS has supported an emergency substitution due to mental health. For privacy reasons I don't think it's appropriate to comment on the specifics but we have verified the nature of this emergency and have notified competing teams.

Just as a wider comment -- I think mental health is extremely important in esports and in the LCS and it's something I personally believe we need to keep supporting. Earlier this year, we started discussing how we as a league can help with mental health overall in the LCS and in our development systems. For example... how we think about our formats (e.g. break weeks), working with players on their schedules (e.g. trying to avoid doing LCS-produced content on their 1 day off a week), having general mental health resources and more support, how we structure our academy/amateur development, and of course having mental health resources and support for our players... I think these are all things we'd like to invest in. A much wid...

FWIW Nashor's Sunfire is clearly not an assassin build. She's a bruiser and is building as such.

Diana has an AoE CC ultimate and a self-shield. She is clearly not an assassin by kit. She's practically Wukong and no one bats an eye at Divine Sunderer + Death's Dance there.

However, it's worth noting that her more assassin-skewed builds (Nashor-Rocketbelt and Rocketbelt-Shadowflame) perform better for most players than the most common bruiser one.

Haven't heard of this issue. Will take a look into it.

You are correct. People spending money on our game content are the ones enabling us to chase ambitious ideas like Arcane in the first place.

It really makes the difference.

Getting caught out isnt a different play style.. it's just bad positioning. Good adcs know when they can play forward and dont get caught out first every team fight. It's not a play style difference, it's a skill difference.

While I agree with the oversimplification that getting caught is not a playstyle, neither is doing nothing.

Indeed a good ADC knows when to play forward and when to not get caught. But it's also a LOT easier for the peanut gallery (myself included) to notice someone playing too far up versus someone doing nothing to win the game.

We've all seen those zero kills and 20 minute games, mostly in pro. Is that really everyone playing perfectly or have 12 kills been passed up because players were too scared of "getting caught out"?
