There's a post near the top of the League subreddit right now talking about how the support item funneling changes were meant to be temporary fixes.
On that note, we're actively working on new versions to land in preseason, so hopefully we can share some of that this patch :)
So I've been back and forth on keeping some amount of shield in the kit for Ryze, but after considering the options, I think it's best for the game to make the hard call to cut the shield entirely. Sorry Ryze players :(

Looks like we're going to keep the Revive around for now on Aatrox and just go with a couple of more general nerfs. We'll keep it in the idea bank as learn more about what a tolerable resting win rate for him is on this version.

Based on the data tweeted and the meeting earlier this afternoon, looks like 9.12 is going to be a pretty modest sized patch. Looking at:

@VitorPresutti I was considering lowering the assist window from pure takedown to takedowns within 3 seconds of him dealing damage on the target, but I probably wouldn't do kills only. Too much weirdness around needing to get the last hit when operating around teammates.
Going to spend the next hour and a half or so working with the part of the team dedicated to the upcoming preseason. Gotta make sure that stays on track!
Early game seems stronger than what it needs to be to perform in solo queue, and if he can have a fun R even without the revive, then that's probably better for the game. We'll see on this one, though. Decisions not final on this one.
Since Aatrox is OP and it seems like R is in a fun/exciting state outside of the revive aspect, I'm considering this list for 9.12:
