2/22 update: Hey everyone! I has an update:

  • Eyebrows - We'll be thinning Yuubee's eyebrows due to popular feedback to make her look less angry.
  • Book - We tried the flower instead of the book but we found that this end result was the best compromise on power and lore.
  • Name - We will be keeping Yuubee, sorry all #Beemi team. We think it fits the best and we see a lot of team #Yuubee comments in here as well.
  • ail - We will look in what makes the honey dipper part awkward and consider moving the pattern up by one. We'll need to check if it's a animation compression issue.

Hey everyone, unfortunately the rig and anim set for monarch Kog'Maw is too old to use on our newer Kog'Maw models. We cannot add Monarch's walk cycle onto Bee'Maw. I'm so sorry, I really really wanted this too :(

Rageblade is double strong on Senna because, as you mentioned, it ignores her crit damage mod (the damage penalty she pays for gaining increased crit) AND it allows her to “overcap” on crit chance by converting it to on-hit damage.

Senna has always been intended to infinitely scale range and AD, but part of the reason she gets crit on her passive is because it eventually caps out, reducing the DPS power she gets from late game soul stacking, especially on DPS builds that already have crit from items.

We’re currently investigating whether or not we should fix/change both of these interactions.

I will note that we don’t tend to balance items around singular users. If an item is weak but OP on 1 champ, we would investigate buffing the item so more people could use it and then nerf the champ if needed, especially if the item has a broad set of potential users. Things get more complicated if the item itself is incredibly niche and only has a few champs that wan...

Why are we assuming that with the removal of the import rule that English would be the default language? The same organizations that are proposing the change to the import rule have used full teams of Koreans in other e-sports with Korean management and Korean coaching staffs. Maybe LCS teams won't do this, but given the history of this League and the over-reliance on imports in North America, it's not even remotely far fetched that some will.

Without the import rule, the need for overcoming language barriers between the NA players you're forced to have and the imports you want to have is gone, because now you're not forced to carry any NA players at all.

Read my point more carefully. I'm implying teams won't default to English-speaking, just like with LMQ in 2014

Edit: I had a different version of the above post before I actually submitted it. So it wasn't explicit at all there.

In short, yes, you could just have a full Korean-speaking team without import restriction. Your pool of acceptable players skyrockets.

Actually you seem to have misunderstandings of economics.

All these market barriers reduce supply in specific categories (resident, import). Demand for best individuals, with necessary status, becomes massive. Reducing market barriers actually lowers the prices. That's the basic principle and reason why free markets are a thing in economics. Free trade reduces prices, because supply isn't limited by artificial boundaries.

Being an import is not a specific need. Teams are not shopping for "import-tagged" players. They are shopping for very good players. However, they are only allowed to attain two import-tagged players. Thus Team Liquid right now has zero demand for any import-tagged player. Even if they'd like to pay for Faker they literally can't without firing Alphari or CoreJJ... which means they aren't in demand enough...

Indeed, there is a lower supply of "resident" players since everyone who's not an NA resident isn't a resident. You have a lower supply of resident players, raising the prices of the elusive good-and-resident player, and a lower demand of import players, lowering their prices.

Lo and behold, here we are, at exactly the place I mentioned.

Honestly, Quickshot’s play-by-play is so damn good. We just had the latest first blood of 2021 and it took a whole 34 minutes for Vitality to get their first kill, but Quickshot managed to make the game feel pretty hype the entire time anyways.

Thanks fam!!! Game is super tense for both top of table and bottom qualifications and I think it was thr closest stomp I've seen in a while. Stoked to hear Ender and I could keep s slow game entertaining, because even these games I genuinely love them.

That article just mentions the Shadow Isles cup (January), is that the case for Zaun cup (this week)?

You’re right it’s worded wrong. Ill have the team correct that. You should be able to play in Clash this year if you were ranked in the previous season.

At the beginning of the year, we allowed players who hadn't finished 2021 placements to compete in the Shadow Isles cup as long as they were ranked in Season 2020. Overall, it was a good step in allowing those that didn’t want to rush through their placements to participate, and we’re deciding to keep it around for future seasons so teams can play together in January without having to grind out 10 ranked matches first.

Where does it say u can play in Zaun cup if u are still unranked this season?

They are in the awards case in the Clash tab. The profile resets every season.

You can play if you were ranked last season or this season in flex or solo queue.
