We appreciate the reports and apologize for this significant issue with the event quests. We have verified that abandoning the quest does cause problems. Nonetheless, we are already testing a fix internally over the weekend and hope to fast-track a hotfix for it very soon. Please sit tight – thank you for your patience!
We are actively working on it but the possible fix for the one that was seen in Invasion isn’t verified as far as I’m aware.
There have been partial fixes made that address some but not all possible scenarios where perf can drop. Still and always will be a top priority for us, so keep the reports and info coming. Any details (time you saw the issue, impacted players, RTT and FPS, etc) and video you have is greatly appreciated.

Can you update your clock and see if that’s gone, pretty sure that’s the issue. To be clear, it should not happen and we are working on a fix but in the meantime, you can solve it locally.
Hi, we are looking at the issue, could you confirm that your time zone and the clock on your machine are set to match where you are located? In other words, have you changed your clock? If you did, please set it back to your local time and let me know if the issue still happens. Thank you!

In the meantime, I did see someone post a suggestion that worked for someone else. I’ll quote it below:
so i joined party with a friend. HE played the song with me standing beside him. My char danced while he played but I GOT CREDIT for the quest.
If anyone else can try it, let me know if that at least works as a workaround. Thank you!
We appreciate the reports and are still actively investigating this issue. It’s a weird one, folks, but we’re working to figure out what’s happening here. We did not see this occur at all in our testing, but we’re trying to get it fixed as quickly as possible so you can enjoy the Summer Medleyfaire!

There is some additional scale testing needed on Group Finder, to ensure this feature is a smooth experience for all. We are actively working on this, and as soon as it is ready, we will let you know its new release date
You can still expect the new Expedition, Barnacles and Black Powder (both normal and Mutated) and the new Mutations to be released in the next weekly update.

There is an intermittent UI bug that hits the queue screen that does not result in a perpetual queue, but can cause confusion on where you are in the queue - was everyone here able to enter their intended world eventually?
