The team is fairly confident that they understand and have resolved the problem. The effected servers are going to go through a restart process now.

As you can see from the exchanges with one another, this is a complicated issue with a lot of factors and no one solution is perfect.
We are trying to address it in a variety of ways and ultimately we’ll need to keep working with the community to get everyone playing with their friends without issue.

We have been rapidly adding worlds, we are working on increased server capacity, we are working on character transfers, and we have prevented new players from adding to the queues of already overcrowded servers.

As we make character transfers available, our hope is that individuals and groups large and small will organize where they want to be long term and help us distribute the entire playerbase throughout all available worlds. This will likely not be perfectly done in our first attempt but we’re committed to working with the community until it feels resolved for everyone.

Our team is working through the issues on NA East now. We are certainly planning to get them back up tonight. When we have more information to share we certainly will be so stay tuned! :slight_smile:

Sorry we are confusing a few topics.
Server capacity is number of folks who can play at once, scaling this up will impact gameplay and game performance.
Server full status is about tracking the number of active players on a server each day and preventing new folks from creating characters there so this way people with established characters they are invested in are granted access over new folks coming in.

I checked in with the server team and can confirm that every day we review total active characters on a given world day over day. This is how we determine the “full status” of a given server.
We are tracking this and review on a daily basis.

Small update:
We are seeing a large amount of these errors specifically in the NA East region at this time. While other region’s worlds may experience restarts, a large portion will be from the NA East region.

Someone from Community should be posting shortly about the US East servers. I hear you on the posts, and we are working to get notifications out sooner in the future - in the meantime, I ask for some forgiveness in these first few weeks as we scale up and work on getting fixes out ASAP. :vulcan_salute:

There is incoming downtime in about 8 hours - all servers will be restarted as part of that downtime. :vulcan_salute:

Brutal is a flat 25% increase to outgoing damage from a character. On the other hand, abyssal takes the damage you do and it converts a percentage of that to void damage. So if your bow has abyssal and you shoot an arrow at your target, when you see “2400 + 800”, that 800 number is the void damage that was converted and dealt.

Phalanx is an affix that casts a large protective shield around the character which will block incoming player projectiles. This shield pulses on and off every 5 seconds. I’ve gone ahead and updated the above table to include Phalanx. See you in Aeternum!
