No there’s no correlation between the Ice Resistance affix and a weakness to fire damage. However some creatures are naturally weak to fire damage, though that is unrelated to the affix system!

We are aware that there are some issues with EAC and Steam preventing players from accessing New World.
If you encounter this issue, we recommend re-installing EAC or verifying the game file through Steam to resolve this issue and get back to playing.

Open the New World Application in your Steam library and go to Settings → Manage → Browse Local Files

I love seeing people post screenshots of their most favourite place in game. Environment team definitely did a great job!
Yes we do have an official Amazon Games Discord that has a New World-specific category in it. There’s a company recruiting section there so hopefully you can find a group you enjoy playing with. We plan to do a lot of cool things there as well in the future!

I can’t speak to whether this or something similar would make it into our roadmap for the near or far future, but I can say that this is a super interesting idea and we are ALWAYS looking for new and fun/exciting opportunities to surprise and delight our players. You’ve got a lot of those elements covered here.
