Try "sudo chmod -R 777 OddRealm.app". This should also give permissions.

Then, make sure to right-click open through the menu.

If, when you try and run Odd Realm, you get a pop up window that says something along the lines of, "App is damaged and can't be opened," it's because the game isn't notarized yet. (I am currently working on getting it notarized.)

Here's how you can fix the issue on your side:

1. Go to the app download location. For me, that's /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Odd Realm
2. Right-click the folder Odd Realm and select New Terminal at Folder
3. Type "xattr -rc OddRealm.app/" into the terminal (without the quotes) and hit enter
4. Type "sudo chmod -R 777 OddRealm.app" (Option if 3 doesn't work, you might have to do both)
5. RIght-click the OddRealm.app and select "Open" from... Read more

Which version are you playing on? Does this happen on 1.0.26.0?

Are you playing in beta? I believe it's fixed in there and will be moving to stable very soon.

You should be able to select a settler, open the inventory (I), and then click on the item you want them to equip (or click and drag it to the slot). Make sure the uniforms window is not open when doing this. This should just equip the item for that individual settler.

I know this is a pain and am working on improvements this week. Sorry about that!

Oh, and just so you know, I've updated GoG with the latest version 1.0.21.0.
