Yes to all haha. Entities will walk into cages (even more likely if their dietary foods are in it) and get stuck. Then you assign the capture job to the cage and there's a chance to capture them (higher with a high animal husbandry skill). When captured, sentient creatures can be integrated as citizens. This will unlock their research tree and events.

Green arrow up means they can climb upwards from that block.
Blue arrow down means they can climb downwards from that block.

GoG doesn't have a beta branch. It will get main version updates at the same time as steam and itch, though.

Great suggestions. There's no way to select a blueprint, but that would be a nice addition. I'll try to add something like this.

You can. :)

From the production window, select "Items In World" under auto-settings. Then, click the item button, and select, "Potato (Raw)." Below that item setting button, you can click the threshold button (the one with orange text) and change that to, "< 10."

There should be a button called "Download Demo" on the store page, just to the right of the green "Add to Cart" button. Alternatively, you can get the demo from itch:

The steam demo button can be buggy. For example, if I have the game already owned and installed, that demo button doesn't do anything when clicked. And, when I have it just owned, it won't install the demo, it installs the full release version. So, it could be any number of things going wrong. It's tough for me to fix because I have zero control over how Steam manages that demo button click.

Are you clicking demo from the website or the Steam app? Have you restarted Steam? I'd suggest sending Steam a ticket/email if it continues to not work. They may be able to provide a solution.

I'd like to release 1.0 this year.

I'm working on the 4th race, the Gwdir which will be ready for beta in a couple weeks. I have to add one more race, the Tomek, after that. Then there are a few overworld and gameplay features I'll be adding to reach my intended 1.0 objectives. So, ideally, in the next 6-10 months I'd have 1.0 ready. Of course, I tend to take longer because I like to respond to requests from the community, or focus on issues that arise. It's difficult to be exact.

Hmmm, maybe there is a bug there (the threat rating should keep them from arriving). You can also look for tiles that don't have them as a natural animal to avoid them.

If you lower the threat in settings, they shouldn't show up.

No, but I'd love to add something like this. Gets real annoying to manage so many rooms once your list gets super long.

Tiles don't have threats anymore. Instead, you can change the threat rating in the game settings.

Hello dear friends!

I've been working away on the Gwdir race and they are very close to being ready for the beta branch. I wanted to put out this patch in the meantime as it has quite a few performance improvements, but, most importantly, carrying behaviour improvements. Settlers were wasting so much time carrying inefficiently and I needed to address that. Settlers will now focus on items closest to stockpiles first, and you should notice they will keep animal enclosure stockpiles filled in a more reliable way too. As long as you have the haulers and items of course.

I'm working on a job which lets you designate items to haul immediately. As an example, this will make it so you could force settlers t...
