We're actually working on more tools for the next game, Rogue Trader to make the modding process easier. I'm not sure if that can ever be compatible backwards with PF, but it's a start.

If you guys have any specific wishes about tools you'd like to see, let me know. They'll reach the people working on those.

Too bad that it’s several months away but I appreciate the candor! Will there still be monthly updates during this time?

Yup, at the very least we'll see the same patch as the huge 2.2 on PC that will come together with DLC5, probably more updates inbetween as well.

Hey, do you know if this DLC updates anything from the older DLC? Like aside from bug fixes and new classes (which I'm totally excited about don't get me wrong). I'm just wondering if I should play it now or later in preparation for the new one.

Not in terms of content, but there's a gargantuan 2.2 patch coming simultaneously with the DLC, which has the new armor and shield mythic feats, assassin rework, some new gorgeous VFX and multiple PAGES worth of fixes. I'm scared to count how many there are, but we're talking hundreds.

15 (!) new archetypes and a new quest and dungeon in Act V for the Commander.

To your other point Owlcat don't see a single cent from Kingmaker as they lost the license. Just so you know.

What? Why?

The game was developed when we still were a part of larger company, and the license remained with that company when we claimed independence back in 2019. Since then, we don't own Kingmaker anymore and don't get any money from it.

Any update on the PS5 WotR update? Its been a year already.

Hey there! Still in production. Unfortunately it takes longer than expected - for the game to work on PS5, we had to switch to a newer version of the engine, and that caused a lot of compatibility issues that are still being solved. We don't have a set release date yet, but judging by the current status, we're looking at no earlier than Q1 2024 or so. I'm sorry =(

Please explain how 14/13/19/9/10/15 TSS Val with EWP: Bastard Sword ties into her Story. Or should we just look at the 9 Int and say "well that explains everything".

or if you are adamant that you need this and it won't affect your experience, I believe there are mods that let you accomplish that.

While I can certainly use Mods, there are still many People that play either on Console or just struggle to use Mods. Would it be to much to ask to put the Option for full Respecs into the Game together with the Warning that the Developers will be disappointed if you use it? (Similiar to the Unfair Warning)

You see, between having so much stuff we'd still love to improve about the game, a rather limited demand for this, availibility of mods for majority of the players and extremely limited resources for things like these, this would be very low on priority list, even if we wanted to do it. Sadly, as a developer team, you always have to choose what you can afford to put your effort into, can't have it all.

Why isn't there an unrestricted full Respec, though? Is it really better for the Story, when Players use Mercs because some of the Companions are just plain terrible build?

If you want full control over your build, you can use mercs, or if you are adamant that you need this and it won't affect your experience, I believe there are mods that let you accomplish that.

I understand what you mean, and I too wish there was a way to handle it. But I really don't see how.

Restricted Full Respec. Relocate Skill Levels/Attributes/Feats but restrict the Choice of Archetypes/Classes.

The way that interface is currently coded, it is not able to support such restrictions. It would require a significant internal overhaul of the system to make that work, and it's a serious resource investment which is unlikely to happen.

From what I hear Unity is practicing some pretty unfriendly practices and developers are rebelling against them. Besides Unreal is more popular, open, and their terms are reliably static, and far more importantly it's a lot easier to find skilled help when using Unreal.

It has nothing to do with the current Unity shenanigans :)

Is the WOTR dlc part of the main game or do you make a new save with new character or something. I bought the original season pass at launch but never came back and tried the dlc

If you refer to DLC5, there's both a new story that you can create a new character for, or import a character from DLC2. There's also story content in Act V for the main campaign.

I have a couple of questions about the rework.

First, will assassinate require melee weapons only, or will we be able to use ranged weapons for it.

Secondly, will assassin still have his sneak attack progression since it wasn't mentioned in rework.

Thirdly, will Greybor the fabled can't take assassin levels assassin be able to take it now, or is he still left in the tavern alone.

  1. Yes, melee only.
  2. Progression stays the same.
  3. Yes, the prestige class is available for true neutrals now.

Do you know how much of a delay (if there's some) there is between pc release and console release?

Unless some unexpected issues arise, there should be no delay.

Oh they are pretty close. Some stuff may be changed, removed or updated, but the overall picture is similar.
