Last week was the seven-year anniversary since Path of Exile entered Open Beta in early 2013. To celebrate, we want to take a walk down memory lane and revisit some of the highlights of the past seven years.

We'll kick off our look back at the last seven years by starting with the most-watched Path of Exile trailer of all time. The Open Beta Trailer has two million views to date, and at the time of its release, became widespread across gaming forums, journalist websites and the internet at large.

We’ve just released the Harbinger Flame Dash Effect microtransaction in our store. It should ideally have been in the patch notes, but clearly was missed amongst all the other changes made to mines. It was only recently brought to my attention that the reminder text for this was never added, and so I have corrected it for a future patch as well as clarifying on the forums and now here.

Today we're looking at how many challenges have been completed in the Metamorph challenge league by player percentages, and how Ascendancy class usage has panned out across the various league types and platforms. First of all, let's take a look at the Metamorph challenges.

The graph below shows what percentage of players have how many challenges and only includes accounts that have completed at least one challenge.




  • 24.14% of players have completed 12 challenges and earned the Metamorph Footprints Effect.
