Hey there.

Have you tried the steps suggested by Keo in the thread linked above yours?

Hey, thanks for your help

When Vulkan was first implemented into R6S it was understood that it would be a test, and it may not be as stable as DX11.

They should now be as stable as each other however. All systems appear to take advantage of these APIs differently, so we always recommend players try both while we resolve any reported issues.

All the best!

Hey there @tmelo387 ,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

I'm afraid your Radeon 520 model does not meet the minimum requirements to run the game and in turn will struggle with the Vulkan API.

If you're able to run the game via DirectX despite your specs, you will have to stick to this version.

If there's anything more we can help with, please let us know!

Hello @pad-trick thank you for your post.

The crashed in-game can sometimes occur after an update, to resolve this, verifying your game files is usually the easiest fix, though it can take a few minutes to complete.

Sometimes, this can also be caused by a recent driver update and rolling back drivers to a previous GPU driver update, can help single this cause out

Have you tried any troubleshooting for this issue?

I would recommend the following >

- Run the game as an administrator via the game's .exe file, right-click on the file, select Properties, select the Security tab, check to make sure the current PC user has Administrator privilege's for this file

- Verify the game's installation files, through the game launcher, to fix any corrupt or missing files that may be causing the crashes

- Update GPU drivers and Windows OS to latest version (Windows 10 update currently Update 21H1 - Windows 11 not currently supported)
(Updating Windows will also update any supporting software the game and launcher needs such as DirectX, Visual C++ x64 and .NET Framework 4.5)

- Install the game to another HDD or SSD drive preferably, if available. Also try installing the game on a separate hard drive as your Windows OS (Make sure to back up any game save files onto your desktop first, just in case)

- Disable all background software in Task Manager and try a clean boot/restart of your PC, in case any software is interfering with the game -
https://support.ubisoft.com/en-GB/Article/000063761

- Make sure the game is whitelisted as not a threat in your anti-virus software, in case it prevents the game from launching or connecting online

- Make a backup of the games config/settings file, then delete this file in case a recent change to the settings may be causing the game to crash (Changing the recommended graphics/video/monitor settings in the game, can sometimes prevent the game from launching)

- Delete any temporary files by doing a search for the %TEMP% folder

- Do a System File Check (SFC) for any corrupted system files and a CHKDSK for any corrupted hard drives -

This support article should explain how to perform some of these solutions -

Hello @jpa thanks for letting us know this is affecting you too and for letting us know your specs. You should be able to run the game at recommended requirements.

Have you been able to test any of the steps I listed above, which are some of the more common fixes for crashing issue in our games?

If you have but have seen no improvements, we will need to help you further over a support case. You can contact us about this here >

Please attach your system files to your case, should you choose to seek out further help, so we can investigate this further for you on what may be the cause for of these crashes for you >
