Hi Pioneers!

Hello everybody! I know a lot of you were waiting for this so let’s get started.

Today we’re releasing the 4.25 Unreal Engine upgrade for Satisfactory to Experimental. With this come a lot of cool new optimisations and lots of other stuff under the hood, but it might introduce a lot of unexpected bugs. So, we’re launching this on Experimental first so we can fix these issues before we release this to everyone in our Early Access version.

What can you expect from the engine upgrade? We have made a lot of optimisation changes both to the game in general and multiplayer specifically: Players and enemies should feel less choppy and more responsive as a result from all the network, general bandwidth, and engine optimisations.

The way the eye adaption algorithm worked has also changed, so the game might be a little bit darker or brighter in some places. We have a temporary fix for this which should cover most situations and ha...

Nitrogen gas, cool, great, love it...but water and oil...

We already have extractors for water and oil. Are the current water and oil extractors getting replaced, or are we just getting multiple versions of extractors that do the same thing?

Or is the steam and the aerosolized oil separate from pump oil and extractor water? Do we need a boiler to heat liquids into the gaseous state? So many questions

multiple methods of extraction. as i said at 1:30-ish, the wells will provide a higher output than "traditional" methods.

it was delayed due to stability issues. it MIGHT come out this week

Wonder if you guys will going to be using Steam, makes sense as an energy transfer mechanism. Looking forward to my bazillion-refinery-factory breaking and having to reconstruct all of the "pure caterium, pure copper" etc infrastructure. That'll be fun!

Looking forward to even more oil popping out of the ground. That 4-to-1 oil to circuits recipe is begging for a big refinery complex somewhere...

Update still scheduled for March? Not being demanding, take the valve-time to make sure it's fun and not too buggy.

yep, end of feb/beginning of march is the goal
